This isn't grandstanding. They filed to truly protect the rights of student athletes. They absolutely have a cause of action and being a part of the NCAA has no real bearing on it.

The unspoken truth behind us is that the SEC and likely the B1G are also behind us. If the NCAA won't resolve it, the conferences will and that will be a sad day for all of us. Football will go on but the rest of college sports will be weakened substantially if the NCAA doesn't step back from the edge. I don't enjoy the idea of losing things like the basketball tourney and how it's structured. I don't like the idea of small colleges being left out of all the other sports because the NCAA couldn't find compromise on the major ones but this fight will blow up the entire organization if they don't see reason.

I agree it is sad....but at this point it is US or THEM, so I choose us... everybody else, they ALL hate us and mocked us, and cheated us, and have gleefully danced on our grave.

UT has not received the official NOA. But if the NCAA is throwing around LOIC, they think they have multiple L1 and L2 violations-- enough to hit UT with LOIC as a repeat violator. UT obviously thinks not.

But... when you're cherry-picking programs to selectively enforce rules that didn't even exist when an SA was recruited-- while redefining entities to be something other than what they were legally established to be-- then you can probably manufacture a laundry list of violations on the fly.

And…..as much as this has been publicized in the court of public opinion, we can expect them to come at us hard. They are not going to just roll over at this point.

Let me ask you a question...did you really not see Pat Adams deliberately try and shut down our momentum every damn time we started to get a little Tuesday night?

Those were some pure calls too...he didn't make us lose, our FT percentage did that...but he sure as hell made it likelier.

Odds that he is in Lexington Saturday?

They haven't leaked those names yet. Just heard a rumor UGA and OSU are in the list, but that sounds like a stretch.

We are literally fighting for our lives now; that's not hyperbole. If they win, and are allowed to hit us with a LOIC...while I don't believe they'll death penalty anyone else ever again, the sanctions that will be levied against us will cripple us for a decade or longer. Loss of more scholarships, bowl bans, and ineligibility from playoff. No one will want to play for us. We will be screwed.

As you said, it is us or them.
