That's not true. We know the facts that the NCAA made several rules and policy changes after the fact and is seeking to enforce them in a situation in which they have no standing. We know you go to enormous lengths to make excuses for our rivals skirting NCAA rules and for the NCAA, yet appear to relish antagonizing in this case without even understanding the time sequence or not caring to countenance it. We further know you've not applied the implications of your "point" to every other team. You've become an unhinged extremist hiding in a moderate's clothing. You are not "even handed," as you like to think of yourself.
If you'd bother to read my posts...I've said multiple times that every collective is doing the exact same thing, and there's no way the NCAA can punish just us. I even agreed with Weezer post saying that, and I never agree with him.

Youre too consumed by your own extremism to see anything but extremism in others, whether it's there or not.

LOL at believing a lawyer on Twitter at all. That's almost the definition of gullible.

So you've seen the contract? You say it's not debatable, so I have to assume you're claiming to have seen the contract.

And it does matter what is commercially reasonable. Contracts are required to have that to be legal. If a judge or jury decides it's commercially unreasonable that a Tennessee collective would have paid a QB who decided to go to Bama 8 million, that piece of evidence that Spyre didn't entice Nico to Tennessee will be disregarded.

And even more to the point, the NCAA doesn't need the same burden of proof as a judge or jury. If its commercially unreasonable in their eyes (ie Spyre made up that contract language for the sole purpose of skirting the NCAA rules, which most reasonable people would admit is probably the case), they'll disregard it.

But none of this matters. The only things that matter are 1) literally every collective is doing the exact same thing and 2) these rules weren't laid out when Nico signed.

Lmao....saw that dumpster depot of a town and was like....

Man, you think NIL is the wild west. Imagine what will happen if schools start paying players too. It will be stacks on stacks. The NIL won't go away. then players will be trying to sue the school over their shares. CBA definitely will be required.
NIL won't go away; it would revert to what it was always meant to be. NIL would be worth far less than now since it would be driven by the true worth of the player's brand rather than their worth on the field.

The Bulls paid MJ to win games. Nike paid him to sell shoes. While the first empowered the second, the second would never have been worth more than the market for shoes and had no bearing on the value of winning games in Chicago.

Put another way:
Beets + Garza Law ads <<< packing Neyland + winning championships

...
But none of [the above] matters. The only things that matter are 1) literally every collective is doing the exact same thing and 2) these rules weren't laid out when Nico signed.
First time I've seen you acknowledge this. Thank you.

You've spent all your time and effort and repetitive posts on what you suddenly concede doesn't matter. It was weird, Jave.

I am sitting here thinking the NCAA has to calculate that there will something for them “when the dust settles”. Why else provoke professional suicide? I have to believe discussions have already happened between SEC/B10/NCAA involving a contingency plan. This just makes no sense. There is no educated calculous on what has happened this past week.

And why poke the bear/hornets nest (UT) first? They had to have known what was going to happen.

Will the NCAA still have a position at this table when we get through this?

Curious to some of your thoughts.
I dont..Occam’s Razor is they are just stupid.

Gay athletes is 100% not bulletin board worthy, but when you add in a love triangle at a program like Arkansas and one of the lovers leaves the team....it changes things.
The “outrage” to the story is just triggered virtue signaling.

You shouldn’t care! About a locker-room love triangle? Are you effing kidding me? Of course it’s a story lol.

3 people on one team hooking up, causing the leading scorer to quit.

But some think it should be a “non-story” because of their orientation? Lmao, sure…

I am of the unfortunate opinion that far too often both people and organizations think of themselves and their organizations mission or obstacles and think less about the ramifications of their decisions and actions, which rely totally on the reaction of those their decisions and actions impact, which they of course have not considered.

So though it makes no sense and seems fairly foreseeable in hindsight, I absolutely believe the NCAA lacks competency and forethought and have probably (regrettably) created the set of circumstances that have transpired this week, unintentionally.

You posted four times on your long-established anti-Vols theme that ignores what really matters to repeatedly nitpick a snide side-point. Then, one time you acknowledged what Weezer said -- and that pretty much everyone but you has acknowledged from the beginning. Then you immediately returned to your old routine for your next three posts, as if your acknowledgement that the subject of your obsession didn't matter had never happened. Maybe quit nitpicking whatever you can find or imagine to nitpick, and go with the point you slipped in at the conclusion of 1 of 7 posts on the subject.

I liked both these posts. There’s nothing relevant about their sexual orientation to the story imo. What’s funny (if you’re anyone but an Arkansas fan) is that the coach did not manage the team properly to prevent this scenario. It’s like workplace relationships, there’s a reason you’re told and coached not to create them. Because it puts your team and your job at risk unnecessarily when it doesn’t work out for the best. It’s a distraction that can easily develop into a disaster. I feel bad for Musselman because he is well liked and respected, but cmon man you had to get ahead of this to not end up being the butt of a joke/headline.

Thank you for pointing out. Upon further review, @jave36 has been placed on the ignore list. Another win for the good guys!
