Big revenues.

About $800mm went back to universities.

$200mm to host events and championships.

On top of OH and the rest.

Big profits for universities. Ncaa pockets $109mm or 8%.

Mostly to accrue for lawsuit liabilities. They're having to build a war chest. Up to 500mm is my understanding. If not for so many lawsuits, universities would get even more.

Strange days. Universities are noe wondering if they want to shoulder a future "AA".

Sounds like a lot of revenue until you compare it to the SEC and its member institutions. Just our 14 current schools out earn them substantially.

I just don't think you're capable of the nuance required to understand the point I was making. I've been criticizing the idea that clever legal gymnastics and contract language by Spyre are going to save us here.

I've not been saying that we did anything wrong or that the NCAA will prevail here. In fact I've been consistently saying the opposite, that they'll have no chance here because literally everyone is doing exactly what we're doing and there were no rules in place when Nico signed.

But because I spent several posts arguing with someone that the NCAA is right about the clever contract language being mostly bogus, you got stuck on the first 4 words "the NCAA is right" and can't continue to process the rest of the idea that says they're still overall in the wrong despite being right about one very minor, almost irrelevant point.

You're just not capable of understanding a nuanced, non binary point of view because you are such an extreme, binary personality.

What I didn't understand when I posted at you was why you would leave this main point (again in your final sentence) and go right back to bickering in your posts thereafter about your tired side issue. Maybe you felt you were being harassed about it. Idk. I was hoping you would stay focused on the main point instead of giving the impression by the weight of your responses that something other was more important. We're good.

I think it was Price reporting... Said Sankey likes and trusts her. She communicates with him often and is very transparent with him. As long as he's not blindsided, he has our back.

That's one reason I couldn't understand the posts earlier, afraid of the idea that SEC and BIG may withdraw from NCAA and combine into a new entity. The SEC is not weak. It's probably the most powerful conference, and it makes zero sense for the SEC to orphan UT in the mix.

Donde comes across extremely well to audiences -- intelligent, forthright, honest, tough but fair, at times witty and at times there's a touch of acid in that wit that makes her come across as incredibly real. She exhibits a lot of the same personality traits we all loved about Pat Summitt (and that came through beyond UT -- people simply loved Pat). She is absolutely someone you want as an ally if for no other reason than the fact that she has the ability to lend instant credibility to your cause. She is what you look for when you're a candidate out searching for endorsements in a community and Sankey is definitely in a business where he needs to be able to convince people and bring them to his side.

I hope she stays at UT as long as possible (for the first time in eons I"m thrilled with our entire leadership) but I wouldn't be surprised if she was offered bigger things. And I def. agree, it makes no sense to interpret the SEC+B1G through a negative lens as it pertains to UT. The SEC is biased towards the Big 6 schools first, founding members second, and big money programs third. When it comes to situations where a schools is vying against another and both have all 3 qualities we've tended to back whoever held the most cards. The conference has spun on a UT-BAMA axis for a lot of its existence but our interests align more often than anyone realizes.

In this particular case, every member of the conference has a vested interest in seeing us win. They may not like that they do but they do.
