They'll do anything to keep the players down. It's disgusting. Maybe they're just a bunch of jealous folks. Smdh


Would fit right in with Sankey and his regressivism, pining for the "good ole days" when universities could control every step of movement and every dollar of their student-athletes.

It’s not a matter of intelligence…it’s the different language elite QBs recognize and can explain. Terry Bradshaw was/is a decibel below, but can explain what he SEES a decibel above. Guys clueless in both areas like Jamarcus Russell and Johnny Manziel slip into the first round all the time but the evaluators skip the red flags because of their on-field college exploits…to typical results.

After reading through the 20 page Complaint and 23 exhibits/affidavits attached to it (available on courtlistener if you are not on pacer), it is even more apparent this has been in the works for a long time. And the NCAA replies with a circular saw argument that pretty much ignores the reality of the Alston 9-0 supreme thrashing they took.
Jackson Lamprey’s affidavit is a great read as is Daniel White’s.

It's similar to folks wondering why women athletes don't make the same as men. Because it isn't as interesting to most people, the talent and athleticism just isn't the same.

The players do...actually...matter. And according to every free market sport...they matter A LOT more than anyone else in their organization.

That all said - I do agree the fans are getting screwed over by the NIL scheme. The fans are essentially paying players in lieu of what the universities should be doing themselves. And that also comes back to admin and coaches. They're the ones that would take a pay cut, and rightfully so. They're on the hook of this scheme as much as anyone. Like it or not.

Feeling strangely confident about tonight.

My daughter's volleyball team is called the gators. I'm glad she played well. Not unhappy they lost. Is that a problem?
