I’m sorry but you don’t know basketball well enough. We shot 42% from 3 they shot 20% from 3. In 2024 it is very rare that a team who shoots 22% better from beyond the arc doesn’t win. We also made 24 shots and they made 24 shots exact same. They had zero bench points we outplayed them today. Coaching was about even I think. The only thing you can say is I think Barnes should’ve ABSOLUTELY fronted the post and doubled from the backside in the 2nd half. However, we still should’ve won despite that. 25 PF to 12 PF there it is. 33 FT to 11 FT. We 1000% made enough shots today!

Not to mention how mentally draining it is to be on the wrong side of a game called like this.

He just had the best roster he's ever going to have. If you're going into a rebuild anyways then why not before things get worse?

Yea it sucks we’re losing JJJ, scovi and especially Knecht. but we also return Z, Gainey, Shack, Awaka, Aidoo. Estrella shows potential, carr will be a baller hopefully dillione too. I’m sure we’ll look for a transfer scorer as well. We’ll see a drop but our roster won’t be bad. For the first month or 2 people were questioning if we were even good enough to finish top 3 in the SEC

Plavsic. I said it in November after the first game. Uros Plavsic would be a nightmare for Edey. Same weight just 2 inches shorter. He's the only player who could've pressured Edey when we are on offense.

hindsight is 20/20, but maybe we thought Estrella would be more ready day 1. You have to think if you told this staff last spring when Edey returned that we'd play Purdue in the NCAA tournament they would have done everything to keep Uros.

Awaka did a solid job against him. He just got called for multiple bs fouls

I'm gonna be honest. The names you mention as returning don't excite me.
Zig is a good PG but if he's your second scoring option you're in trouble. Gainey Gainey is a good bench player but I don't want him in the starting lineup. Shak is an Elite defender but his offense is still extremely raw. Awaka has very little offensive game, and Aidoo is too soft against better bigs.
Those guys are way too inconsistent, everyone will come at me and say but can't they get better, they can, but it was the same story with the guys leaving after this year. They were 2 consistent on offense. If Barnes truly cares about making a run go find 2 Elite scorers and don't let them say no.

Also, Edey can get bent. Barnes didn't like you probably because you can't play the style of ball he coaches. Get over yourself with that everyone doubted me BS. You are a 7' monster that can foul as much as he wants and get breathed on and draw a foul. Blow it out your butt.

We got completely dominated in the paint and outrebounded by 20. We weren’t close to being good enough inside and our guards couldn’t make up for it.
