I know who we have coming back and I’m certainly worried about that but I don’t follow basketball recruiting at all, so what does our incoming class look like? And putting DK aside, how does Barnes typically do with the portal?

Not so good, imo. But I always wish for a pure shooter and Barnes won’t take anyone who can’t/wont play def so imagine viable options are limited.

I don’t think Barnes will go too crazy in the portal because he doesn’t want players to have the impression that’s how he rolls. It will be a rebuild year.

Barnes has to recruit scorers and not defenses. Our assistant found a Knecht and it carried Barnes this year. Can’t win it playing defense only. Ready for a change and I don’t care if that upsets anyone. Bring back English.

Also, Edey can get bent. Barnes didn't like you probably because you can't play the style of ball he coaches. Get over yourself with that everyone doubted me BS. You are a 7' monster that can foul as much as he wants and get breathed on and draw a foul. Blow it out your butt.

Edey's "style of ball" is to cheat with impunity. It's really all he's got. Someone in a junior league in China or Greece might not "doubt" him next year.

We got completely dominated in the paint and outrebounded by 20. We weren’t close to being good enough inside and our guards couldn’t make up for it.

You are right. However, we completely dominated them from beyond the arc and points off turnovers. It goes both ways if you turn on the tape.

I'm gonna be honest. The names you mention as returning don't excite me.
Zig is a good PG but if he's your second scoring option you're in trouble. Gainey Gainey is a good bench player but I don't want him in the starting lineup. Shak is an Elite defender but his offense is still extremely raw. Awaka has very little offensive game, and Aidoo is too soft against better bigs.
Those guys are way too inconsistent, everyone will come at me and say but can't they get better, they can, but it was the same story with the guys leaving after this year. They were 2 consistent on offense. If Barnes truly cares about making a run go find 2 Elite scorers and don't let them say no.

You don’t fire a coach that took you to the elite 8. While I think DW does well in hiring you don’t fire Barnes after he’s made Tennessee basketball a top 10 program.

Some of these knuckleheads want to fire every coach in every program. I guess they think they know better. They don't. Just glad the 1 percent couch coaches don't represent the whole fan base.
