Outside of ZZ and Aidoo, Awaka, Gainey nobody has much experience. No scorer on the roster if ZZ isn’t on…. Need to portal shop for some offense badly…

Hope we can have the success in the portal that we, Bama, others had last year.

You have to make plays, you just do. And we didnt. There isnt anything you can do when you dont execute. That isnt a Rick Barnes thing. Or a Bruce Pearl thing.

The refs called a horrible game, inexcusable. But that isnt why we lost.

If the game was evenly called 60/40 in their favor, we would've won. It was at least 75/25 in their favor and it wasn't because we played poorly. It's because they allow one of their players to do whatever he wants. Put the same force field around one of our big men and we win by 20pts.

I can’t remember a three-second violation being called on anyone in any game I’ve watched this year.

Eh they have a roster and starting lineup composed of almost all seniors. They used the portal to compete this year. They were still ranked preseason. Did they play or finish the season better than expected, sure, but I would call what they did a rebuild.

And we found Knecht last year so I’ll hope we can find another. If not, and if our young guards don’t come out and surprise us with great performance, next year “could be a long one.”

I know who we have coming back and I’m certainly worried about that but I don’t follow basketball recruiting at all, so what does our incoming class look like? And putting DK aside, how does Barnes typically do with the portal?

This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Bama. They brought in a huge portal class and put together a top team. Turned it into a F4 run.

Tennessee can do that this offseason. No, you can't get a Dalton Knecht. Nobody will. But you can get a couple of guys like Love, Sears, Sheirman, etc and might be better set for success and have another great season.

This isn't really true. They were preseason 4th in the conference. They were expected to be tough.

Not terrible defensively but leaves a lot to be desired in scoring… I fear it will be a long year. Defense may get us in the tourney but the scoring droughts will be too much to overcome. Probably a round of 32 give or take depending on how the seeding shapes up. Barnes has recruited well but I do think we need to recruit with a little more emphasis on offense. You simply cannot win if you do not score and right now we only have one signee.

The absolute #1 reason we lost is all the non-calls on Edey. That is a fact. I'd put #2 on ZZ being ice cold shooting the ball, but you can't escape #1. FFS. all the non-calls on Edey could easily be reasons 1-4.

How can you lay any blame at all on our guys when they have a player who is granted foul immunity? It's a miracle we kept it within 6 points.
