I literally just got finished with the day. Only got on a few minutes for a few posts. Hoping I missed all the emotional nonsense from those who lose their capacity to reason when it comes to sports.

Just want to say how completely thankful I am for this coach and this team!!! They gave their all for Tennessee. They will always be dear to Tennessee fans. Some teams are just special. Can’t appreciate the character enough!

I don’t think Rick looked over him. How could you say that? The majority of the gameplay was based around you twice this season. We just didn’t have the size to keep you out of the paint or have the refs on our side. Say whatever you want but keep my coaches name out your mouth you dumb ogre.

Not a fan of the tone. But I don't disagree with the point.

At the same time, this is who we've been all year and we ran up against the worst matchup for us, I think, in the whole tournament.

Proud of this team. Won the conf and went to the elite 8. Sec poy, sec defensive poy, all Americans, all region players... Lots to be proud of.

This team was, for sure, one of the best teams in the country and they proved it all year long, despite the afformentioned flaws. Ultimately that was our wall we couldn't get over this year.

Agree. I am proud of this team. I am disappointed in the upperclassmen who failed to show up in the biggest moment. I honestly think we are a better team than Perdue.

Just my 2 cents, kinda figured something was up today. Maybe it’s my old self thinking all this stuff with the NCAA wouldn’t pop up, but somehow I think it’s in the back of all of ours heads with the officiating today.

I hope all those old farts (NCAA) have to watch Barnes console all of our players on loop for a thousand years, but yet they’ll still be laughing. Assho/es.

Here's the thing about Edey - why exactly is he the golden boy? I get that he's 7'4'' and fills up a stat sheet. At the same time, he doesn't play an exciting brand of basketball or play for a blue blood program. He isn't athletic, doesn't make highlight reel plays, and is completely one-dimensional. He doesn't seem particularly marketable as a player either. His effectiveness as a basketball player seems to purely be because of his height, which yes, explains some of the appeal, but not to this degree.

The way he is covered and officiated, you'd think this guy is the second coming of LeBron James playing for Duke or UNC. He gets even more pub than a guy like Zion Williamson seemed to get when he was at Duke. What gives?

It’s just because he is a walking double double which goes back to his size. You look at the big guys in the NBA. They are much more skilled than Edey. He is slow and doesn’t have many skills outside of bullying his way into everyone.

What’s that got to do with despite only shooting 11 FTs, only hitting 63% of them? Nothing.

What’s that got to do with us getting crushed on the glass 47-26? Nothing.

What’s that got to do with us shooting only 38%? Nothing.

What’s that hot to do with our upperclassmen failing to show up offensively? Nothing.

What’s that got to do with us hardly attacking Edey in the lane? Nothing.

It’s just sad that you and some others boil down this loss to one thing, officiating. When the actual stats tell a completely different story. Officiating was horrendous. But that’s a small part of it.

Officiating affected these more then you think
Big men were in foul trouble
Drive the lane on edey and get it blocked and no foul call
Free throws was bad

He was the 75th ranked center in the class. He got overlooked by everyone.

Officiating makes or breaks the guy. If they treat him like everyone else, he sucks. If they give carte blanche to foul with impunity, he's good; but a lot of people would be under that extreme and questionable circumstance.

I suspect what we heard him whine about after the game was what his assho coach told him all week.
