So...have you ever seen a poorly officiated game? Ever? Or do you admit that you don't have an objective view of these events because you become more concerned with "educating" us over assessing reality?

I have problems with officiating. I just don’t mention it in every single game like some do. I mean for crying out loud some on here start blaming refs before the game even starts. And despite the horrendous officiating, we only lost by 6.

Knowing that can you not see how this game was more about nobody on our team besides DK showing u offensively? I said in another post that imagine if SV, Aidoo, JJJ and ZZ each have us 10. A poster said if that happened then DK wouldn’t have gotten 37. Fair enough. But what if those guys each gave us 6-7 points a piece? We win. Is that too much to ask if upperclassmen to be able to score 6 points???

I have seen very few games this year that were officiated well. Since we all know the officiating in college basketball is so poor, why keep blaming loses on it? If it rarely happened then it would be different. Again going back to this game, yes the officiating was terrible. But did you not expect this from Edey? It’s been like this with him for two years now. And we still almost won. Just stop blaming refs for everything because the stats show it wasn’t all about the refs.

Not saying you specifically, but the issue with "the officiating was terrible" crowd is 1) they only complain after losses and 2) they act like it was the biggest factor, or maybe even the only factor, in the loss. I'm not sure I've seen a single game in any sport in my entire life where officiating was the biggest factor, and definitely not the only factor, in the outcome of a game.

Of course there are poorly officiated games. And speaking specifically about this game, Edey has gotten this treatment every single game for 2 years.

Indiana's campus is even closer. They sure haven't done the Hoosiers any favors in recent years.

It's a theory I've been looking in to. It's not been debunked yet. The NCAA also has a record of attacking UT. It's a possibility.

We know the SEC hates UT. It's because the conference is ran by bammars.

Tough game for Vols yesterday.

Knecht gave his all with 37 points, Awaka and Estrella fought like hell vs Edey.

Gainey gave lots of energy to the game and Josiah played a great defensive game.

If Tennessee could've gotten any production from Aidoo and Zakai would've shot better Tennessee would be celebrating today.

Reload for next season as far as the other Elephant in the room, you guys argue it out.

Only thing I will say is Tennessee fans KNEW how the officiating would be yesterday.

I agree but it's a shame that the players and fans have come to the conclusion that the refs and aa are dirty as he!!.

Fans of every team attack officiating, it's natural I assume.

But it is what it is.

Like I said I'm not getting into an argument over something that nobody on this board can control.

James also played well. When he took a shot, it went in the basket. Should have done that more often: That said, I wouldn't be surprised if some of our team doesn't come down with the flu. Vescovi was obviously feeling gross during the game. Incubation 3-4 days? He got close to Lurch. I'd like to see how well Purdue played without him being camped under the basket getting fouled.

Aidoo not scoring at all is the difference in my opinion…everything else was nice…would have liked more points from ZZ and JJJ but it is what it is…team was super fun to watch this year…hopefully we find another Knecht in the portal…hell of a find by Barnes and his staff.

We need to revamp our team this offseason, I hope can land a big and 2-3 good scorers. I can see this up coming season being a let down season like the letdown from the good 2018-2019 season to the mediocre 2019-2020 season.

We got beat by a well coached team.
Eady proved he was POY. He is unstoppable. Knect deserves to be a finalist, but he is occasionally stoppable
