Turtles and cockroaches would be curious about this alien colonization theory as well. Way better than the human/chimp intelligent life was alien colonization on earth theory. I, for one, am here for it.

"Locked on" stabilization on their head. You can take out a few frames every 10th of a second and get a similar result.

I'm not sure which way they're doing it and they may be doing it a completely different way, but I think you can get results like that with how I explained. (Probably taking out few frames 5-6 times a second)
