The call was right, but with 3 seconds left, the debate should shift more to “do you make that call at that point in the game with everything on the line?” Personally, I’m a no. Unless it’s an absolute fragrant foul, let the players decide the outcome, not the ref.

The timing makes zero difference.

2 pts in the first half is worth the same as in the 2nd half. And if they get it in the first half, they're not in the exact same position late in the game.

Fouls are fouls. And not calling fouls is also deciding the game - inaction is action.

Nope. Especially when viewed against earlier in the game where Clark drove the lane, lowered her shoulder and ran into the UCONN player and wasn’t called for an offensive foul. Bottom line is it was ticky tack foul. And had that been Iowa? It wouldn’t have been called. Clark and her team get the Edey treatment because she is a good shooter.

That was my thought too. Her teammate was going to be open enough. She had an advantage. No need to slide her hip out to force contact.

Oh heck, I forgot to update. All his tests turned out normal. He unfortunately takes after his mother on this one . His body short wires itself when he gets under extreme stress and basically it shutdowns, or in my case ( seizure). Thank you for asking, my new job has taken over my focus and I love the new challenge in my life.

Robots are the solution to all the problems. So I've been told, back turned or not the correct call will be made.

Question is do you trust human judgement or robots that are built by humans?

One thing that I am 100% positive about is that when DW hires someone that is not a former player or coach here, the meltdown on the LV forum will be epic. There will be "fans" who will now cheer against whomever the coach is just to prove that they are right. People will threaten to stop donating, stop attending games, stop supporting the team. Almost all of the people who make this claim will do exactly none of these things. Again, the meltdown will be epic and I am here for it.
