Everyone knows my thoughts on Kellie. No sense in rehashing. I figured it would go another year but I suspect internal pressures got unmanageable.

As to the hire, I suspect it won't be an well established coach. That's just not the Tennessee way. Danny White has given me no reason to doubt his abilities to get the right person. Regardless, I'm certain that many will be disappointed.

Whomever the hire is, the roster has to make significant gains to be competitive with other top programs. I certainly hope the coach is an intellectual savant when it comes to Xs & Os. We see it in the men's game all the time when small programs, despite being severely undermanned, compete with the big programs.
100% agree.

LV's only had one player on the roster who could start with any of the FF teams - Rickea.

When you see USCe, Iowa and UConn play you see the future of the game. You have to recruit to that over time. So the hire needs to recruit well, but better be the innovator and motivator of a Heup with the strategy to get them competitive quickly to build recruiting momentum.

You've been quiet, so I was just curious what you thought and if you're optimistic.

Hope you're well and enjoying the big boat trip!
I'm home. It was an adventure. One of those glad I did it but wouldn't do it again. Looking for a bigger boat. 😅

I've got a lot of faith in DW. Whomever he selects will have my support.

Agree about the roster... and it could get worse before it gets better. Recruiting and NIL headwinds have been an issue for a while. Chicken and egg scenario on multiple levels. Kellie couldn't overcome and the hourglass ran dry.

I've got an old dog who must've spent some time in prison.

He takes about 5 pieces of dog food out of the bowl and walks a few feet away. He drops it, kinda protects it and eats it 1 piece at a time while closely watching everyone's movements around him. Kinda worried he's gonna shank me during rec time.

Always looking for a bigger boat.
How about a 58' Leopard Catamaran?
Way out of my budget. I'd love a 48-54 Aquila but way out of my budget too. Running that 24' CC over there was a little much. Almost 800 miles round trip. Trip home was better though. We took 3 days instead of just 2.

In all seriousness I'm really feeling a Jeanneau leader 10.5. It is trailerable and has a lot of great features.

That's why I think a great Xs and Os coach is crucial. The LVs will always attract talented players. You just have to give them an excuse. We need a coach that can do more with less to kick things off. Confidence from fans/boosters will fix the NIL thing, I think.

Our dog does that. We've got his food bowl in a spot where he can't see us, so he gets a mouthful and drops it in front of us before he eats it. We've always assumed he does it so he can make sure we don't leave without him knowing.
