Recruiting Football Talk VII

Random thought: I always thought the chorus of Rush's "Roll the Bones" would be fitting before 4th downs and last second FG's.

Random thought of the day... Is anyone else tired of the "Nico needs to put on more muscle and weight before we throw him out there behind this suspect O-line" talk? It's one thing to debate the merit of playing him due to his inexperience or lack of knowledge of the playbook, but since when did being skinny mean we can't put you out there?

I remember quite vividly when we put in Tyler Bray for the first time with an also suspect O-line. He was possibly even skinnier than Nico and he held up just fine if i recall. Another thing i remember about him vs Simms who was the current starter was that Bray got the ball out of his hands so much faster than Simms that our sacks taken numbers decreased drastically. Joe holds the ball we all know this. Is it not possible Nico could be a Bray like quarterback who gets the ball out quicker and has better presence in the pocket? Just something i was thinking about this morning.

disclaimer this is not me saying Nico should start vs Scar more so just tired of people making the stupid excuse you can't play skinny quarterbacks in the SEC.

Utah who beat Florida is two spots behind Tennessee who got smoked.

Yup.
Yeah, because one game on a team's schedule determines how good they are.

JP has repeatedly said that his poll is NOT a ranking, rather its a rating to show who would be favored in head-to-head matchups. One game does not determine that.

McGill gonna McGill, bruh.

If you've been lurking for a while -- as you try to insinuate -- then you would have to know the whole backstory of McGill's qualms about this year, that he does not insist or even ask that others agree with him, as well as his well-known cautious and somewhat ornery (somewhat comic) nature. Your name-checking "Bass" -- in light of the rest of your apparent ignorance -- hardly persuades. In fact, no one can out-negative Bass when he's on a run.

You were last seen popping in to tell the board "I love all y'all" after the Bama game. Well act like it. You reappear full and piss, vinegar, and hostility, and pick a fight out of left field. Don't get your bloomers in a twist if McGill, of all people, responds to your rudeness in like kind.

Rather, as you put it:

Including McGill. Just start over and try again more civilly.
I like Bass but he has the same rep in VQ. lol Stays on a roll. Not sure what happen to him that turned him so dark. Has to be McGill's fault. :p

Nothing to lose versus scratching and clawing for respect aka everything to gain. Its Win-Win for Sweet Lou.
I just don't know why Day would want to get into a pissing contest with someone who hasn't coached in what close to 30 years...doesn't make since be like me arguing with my 4 year old grandson...even though I'm rite he still isn't going to hush about it...
