Anyone else noticed teams doing that lately? I think UVA did it recently and several other random schools. I think it looks really really bad. Who thinks that looks cool??

That’s all he has played. He started at LSU last year, played 38 snaps in the second half against Bama, and started and played 68 snaps against UK. He’s been very serviceable.

So, lets run a hypothetical.

1. What happens if Joe Milton comes out and struggles again? Even if we pull out a win... where are ya'll?

In my mind, if Joe struggles and puts up a lackluster performance or is just sub-par (not even bad, just sub-par), then this season looks rough from here on out. This is the game that makes or breaks Joe going forward. It is also the game that sets the tempo going forward. If Joe doesn't perform to the level he should, we are rapidly coming to the very real decision of throwing Nico to the wolves. The schedule only gets worse from here. I think the coaches are secretly worried about this.

-We thought the simple play calling was because we were trying to hide our plays. That turned out to be not true.
-Some thought it was our receivers not catching the ball or not giving Joe good options. Heupel has guys running wide open all the time and our WR room is actually very good, only Thornton has struggled.
-Some think it is the Offensive line... maybe. But Spencer Rattler is doing FAR more with FAR less.
-Also, our RBs are killing it right now.

There really aren't valid excuses for us to be struggling like this, unless of course you factor in Milton and his leadership. This team just does not play with the same fire and something is off. So far Tennessee has had what should have been a cakewalk schedule up to this point and we have NOT looked good on offense like we should. Nico should have extensive playing time by now but because the offense has sputtered in cupcake games, he has little experience and playing time... not good.

I'm hoping it clicks for Joe, but I have major doubts and I am tired of wondering if Clemson Joe or Austin Peay Joe is going to show up. The inconsistency is a mood killer for this team.

Being a wuss would be hoping the other team’s players get hurt so maybe your guys can win. It’s looking for shortcuts. Lack of competitive fire. Weak. Sad, really.

Agreed. Never once while playing did “I wish a player would get hurt” did we want to hit them so hard they didn’t want to catch the next pass or run the ball, of course we did.

But never an injury.

I just realized that I have been on here twelve years this month. What a crazy ride lol. Been through Dooley, to Butch, to Cornbread ( with stints from Cheney, Hoke, and Steele lol). After watching Chimp Empire I realized the alpha male is typically the dumbest brute of the group, just a bigger bully than the rest. They'd literally run around banging on trees to "show off", scaring the crap out of the entire group and causing the females to protect their children, but if a child chimp was in the alpha's path, they'd sling it into a tree.
