Bull ****. Both teams have existing injuries. Are you upset Juice Wells isn't playing? And if you say yes, I don't believe you. You're painting a picture that I want the kid maimed. That's not what was said. But if we can knock him out of the game by getting to him, I'm good with that. No dirty hits, no late hits, just hitting him hard when we get the chance. And if it forces the backup in, so much the better. That's not a shortcut, that's the game. You pound them, they pound you. You can take your "weak" and "sad" comments and shove them up your ass.
They are just pearl clutching. I didn't see one person lamenting the fact that we took two QBs out of the game against Pitt last year. In fact, I saw most people recognize that the pressure from the front 7 that got those guys out of the game is the primary reason we won.

Given the option to hit Rattler with a hard clean hit (Hooker vs LSU) , or a soft clean hit (every NFL sack that isn't a penalty), which would you prefer and why? Everyone here would answer both questions exactly the same whether they would admit it or not.

The idea of hitting someone on the other team with bad intentions was a play-by-play occurrence 20 years ago. The game has been made much safer since then and that's a good thing. But where punishing hits are still allowed within the rules, I'm going to celebrate when our guys do them, just like all of you secretly will.

Yea I'm going to buy them these guys that come over for the games each week must not eat from Monday til Saturday around noon...
Wings express has a bunch of different flavors. The wings are tiny though. I call them hummingbird wings. They're chap though. I get them on Tuesdays when they run a 50 for $25 special.

Is there a sports person who is worse at their job than Angel Hernandez?

Forget umpires at this point. The zone can cover balls and strikes and they can use technology on check swings. Plays at bags can also be covered by sensors or instant replay. This is the last part of the equation where smart people will dominate baseball and the old guard can’t buy influence anymore.

I never want to see a kid get hurt, but I understand Weezie’s point. There’s a lot of bitterness on how Hendon got hurt last years game. I don’t know if I believe all the speculation that USCe trucked in sand for their field, but revenge is a powerful emotion.
There was sand on the field because of the previous weeks weather. It had rained like crazy and the field had been jacked up from playing on it. Our field has been the same way at times, with the same complaints.

I won’t secretly, as I’ve said, the goal is to get the advantage in a football game. I don’t want to see a kid taken out by a career ending injury, BUT, if he has to leave the field because he’s bruised and battered, well it’s football and a contact sport. That’s what you signed up for, and I’m a mom of a prior football player.

I didn’t know that. I should have read up on it after the game. 🙄 on me. I remember a few years back when our field was like playing in mud after the game started and got worse as the game progressed.

Let's just sack him 9 times, help him up 9 times while telling him we'll be right back on the next play, and pick him off six times.

I like that idea except for the helping him up part. Hit him hard then get up and walk away. Show him he’s not worth talking trash to and he’s certainly not worth helping up. All about playing the mental side of the game.

It rained sand? Or they never properly prepared the soil?

They hadn't played a game on that field in the previous 21 days.

When has Shields-Watkins been a sand pit? I don't recall it.
