It just would have been Josephs wrecking them instead of Pearce.South Carolina’s board is pretty typical. Hand wringing and pissed off, with the Super Bowl comments and all it’s pretty boring.
However, they are VERY salty about losing James Pearce to us now. There are several talking about how big of a blow him flipping to us was and how it was a major impact in the game last night. Some even believe it could’ve been the difference in a W or L, but that’s just wishful thinking. It was a 21 point game, not a 7 point game.

Have any stats on Gabe Jeudy? I haven’t paid close attention but when I have seen him show up he seems to be making a play. PFF had him as a 70 grade on Saturday, Hadden 73, but I don’t trust their grading.Kamal Hadden appreciation post. You'd never know it given the way he's talked about here but...
10 catches allowed on 26 targets / 38% completion percentage / 2.46 YPA / 2 INT (1 pick-six) / 0 TD / 5 PBU / 14.6 NFL QBR. Only 2 PI calls and both were against Austin Peay. Pretend those are 15 yard catches and you've got 12/26 for 3.6 YPA.
That's dominant, and if it's not apparent just how dominant, how would y'all feel if Milton had a game where he went 10/26 for 64 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs with a pick six and a 14.6 QBR. How many would say, "Well Milton got a couple PI calls so it's still a good game" lol.
Among CBs with 20+ targets in the country:
1st in NFL QB Rating allowed
2nd in YPA
3rd in coverage rating (PFF)
8th in completion%
He's #1 in the SEC in every one of those categories.
16/21 - 8.1 YPA - 99.3 NFL Rating against. At BYU his strengths were more in run support than coverage. His coverage stats here haven't been fantastic, but I think he's been great on the short routes / run support where we really needed help.Have any stats on Gabe Jeudy? I don't get my money's worth if I don't shoot at least 100.Didn’t keep score but not good. I've never been a great golfer but when I used to play more frequently I would shoot around 90. I hardly play any longer.
We used to play Deerfield a couple of times a year. We would take the houseboat up with a bunch of friends. Make a breakfast on the hour long cruise up, play all day (27-36 holes), grill on the cruise back. Fun times.
We just took the small boat up yesterday. Just my son, son-in-law, his brother, and myself. I was afraid i wouldn't be able to finish the round though because i only took 3 sleeves of balls.
Who cares what toxic people say on the internet? DW isn’t going to pay any attention to it…. Why should we?Here is the difference between us...I think we are a better program now that has a decent-excellent chance of winning against most other programs...I acknowledge the hopefulness that fact brings with it, it is good to feel that way again, but unlike the over-optimists I also see the still unoptimal roster problems we have....pretty much anybody with a real pulse can beat us, (see Florida for most recent example) and even destroy us (see South Carolina last year) on a day we don't play very well...I will EXPECT to win against anybody again when those roster issues and a couple staff issues are fixed.
We walk a knife edge now...injuries and suspensions can play havoc on our ability to win...a significant injury on OL (Coop) and LB (Pili), and Mincey and others being suspended (or whatever it was) caused a loss to Florida for example. What REALLY freaks me out is unreasonable over optimistic expectations causing the brain dead to go toxic.
You may not be one of those, but most of those idiots do not perceive or acknowledge roster issues...they just think "we are going to win" and then go off the freakin deep end when happens because the idiots did not see why it could happen...then they start questioning EVERYTHING and that toxicity bleeds over into everything.
We are talking about hunting, right? I too also enjoy killing 100 animals in one sitting. Preferably deer or what not, that ive fed from my back porch over a salt lick, or, pile of apples. Just more sport in it. Dumbasses, they just stand there, and get the automatic rifle out, pffffftttt...take it to the butcher. Leave the rest.I don't get my money's worth if I don't shoot at least 100.
I mentioned he was the #1 DB in passes defended and I had to run & take cover,Kamal Hadden appreciation post. You'd never know it given the way he's talked about here but...

You may not be impressed with them, but we ain't winning in Tuscaloosa unless something drastic happens.Reason why Tennessee went down a spot is quite simple, Florida got absolutely trounced by Kentucky. Tennessee will just have to beat Aggies and that’ll set Tennessee up well heading into Bammer week. Not impressed with bammer! Still thinking it’s a 9-3 season. Good win on Saturday and Neyland was lit!
He helps, but he wasn't the reason we won, and him going there instead of here doesn't flip that game.South Carolina’s board is pretty typical. Hand wringing and pissed off, with the Super Bowl comments and all it’s pretty boring.

trucks…. now hunting….. point at the spot where the country boy hurt you.We are talking about hunting, right? I too also enjoy killing 100 animals in one sitting. No no. Just meant that the Hollywood script, as per ESPN, was written for SC game. They will have to play inspired football rest of the way.I assume you mean the defense is going to have to win the game because the offense is going to struggle on that game?
Yup. AM has a solid D line. They may give us some trouble.Going to have to have the defense play, even when the script isn't written.
it depends on what you consider fine…. playing that way would cost us a few games.I have said that the offense was pretty good all season, if all we did was passes to the flat and running plays we'd be fine, That does not fit the narrative of the average fan. They see shiny stuff, but what we're doing gets the job done just like long passes (and we've had them) not as entertaining, winning is entertaining. Last year was special (like '97), this is a different year as was '98.
