Kamal Hadden appreciation post. You'd never know it given the way he's talked about here but...

10 catches allowed on 26 targets / 38% completion percentage / 2.46 YPA / 2 INT (1 pick-six) / 0 TD / 5 PBU / 14.6 NFL QBR. Only 2 PI calls and both were against Austin Peay. Pretend those are 15 yard catches and you've got 12/26 for 3.6 YPA.

That's dominant, and if it's not apparent just how dominant, how would y'all feel if Milton had a game where he went 10/26 for 64 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs with a pick six and a 14.6 QBR. How many would say, "Well Milton got a couple PI calls so it's still a good game" lol.

Among CBs with 20+ targets in the country:
1st in NFL QB Rating allowed
2nd in YPA
3rd in coverage rating (PFF)
8th in completion%

He's #1 in the SEC in every one of those categories.
Based on RF's history of which players we criticize and insist shouldn't see the field, he'll be playing in the NFL in the future.

man arkansas should be patient. i'm not sure they can do better
What I’ve said…just go with recent history. Morris, Bieliema and John L Smith. All losing records before you get to Petrino, who was a different type of disaster. Arkansas fans are like a family of plumbers who think their bloodlines descended from royalty.

LOL. Plumbers are like that.

Whitlock has gone further and further off the deep end over the years. Everything's a conspiracy.
Looked more like a personal observation to me. He’s not beholden to either political party or ideology. I do think toeing woke lines in sports annoys the bejesus out of him and it’s omnipresent these days.

The only team we truly catch in a bad spot for us is UGA. They will be rested and have Bowers and McConkey ready to roll.

It's nice that it's a home game for us - we need them to start slow.

I like where we are playing A&M.

And I like where we are playing Bama - even on the road. But we have not looked good on the road except for that LSU game. This needs to be a day time game where we jump out early - running and being effecient on offense.
We catch UK at a bad spot. They have a bye the week before they play us.

While I agree that fans shouldn’t boo players during a game or yell crazy things toward them, I think fans have every right to get upset if the team plays bad or look lethargic. They pay good money and spend their time to watch the team. Some fans even give thousands of dollars a year to support those kids. I think they can get upset.

My caveat is that if they are giving their all for Tennessee, then I would never get upset.

If they are getting beat and obviously mailing it in like the dooley teams did, then I get upset. But I am still never going to boo them.

With that being said, there’s no quit in this team and that’s why I am firmly in favor of

14-1 🤠

Upset is fine. Everyone gets upset. But spewing your own selfish anger onto the players does nothing, just the opposite. And is an awful look to recruits and families. Fairweather fandom.

Folks need to get even LOUDER when their team is down...against the other team. They feed off our energy...both good and bad. You can either help the cause or cut off your nose to spite your face.

But brew inside all day long if folks want.

One thing SC didn't do was lay down. Both teams were knocking the crap out of each other that game. SC simply doesn't have the talent to compete with Tennessee when Tennessee pays attention to them. Last year, we'd beaten a Mizzou team badly the week prior and Mizzou was the much tougher game (or would've been). We came in a complete mess with half-ass focus while SC was locked in. We woke up too late for it to matter. It was the mistake a team unused to success and a coach unused to the slog of the SEC makes. But it's not one that I expect we'll see Heupel's teams making very often.

I listened to the locked on Vols crossover edition prior to this past game. For those that don’t know, it’s where Eric Cain invites our opponents locked on host and they talk about the game. Not to be rude to EC, but it’s about the only worthwhile episode each week.

Anyways, the gamecock host was pretty high on his team and predicted they’d win. Pointed to their tougher schedule and us haven’t not played anyone etc.

For its and giggles, I wanted to give todays locked on gamecocks pod a listen to see what he had to say. Nothing noteworthy - he was critical of his team and didn’t make any excuses, but what I did like was how he was calling out the coaching staff. Mentioned how basically defensive principles like setting the edge aren’t being done. And how the talent of the roster is lacking. How that shouldn’t be the case for a staff in their third year. His last segment was gonna be if they should be in panic mode but I stopped listening.

I just appreciated how at least someone may be recognizing that Beamer might not be the golden boy they proclaim him to be.

South Carolina’s board is pretty typical. Hand wringing and pissed off, with the Super Bowl comments and all it’s pretty boring.

However, they are VERY salty about losing James Pearce to us now. There are several talking about how big of a blow him flipping to us was and how it was a major impact in the game last night. Some even believe it could’ve been the difference in a W or L, but that’s just wishful thinking. It was a 21 point game, not a 7 point game.
Doesn’t constitute a flip if he was never committed there. South Carolina fans are garbage. They think their program is much better than it is. I’ve got 2 cousins and a family friends kid who went there and listening to their chest thumping is insufferable. One heisman in the 60s and getting Steve spurrier post uf firing are their only claims to any relevance. Glad we chopped off their heads and plucked their feathers this weekend.
