One needs to remember we've been getting screwed by the officials every game, even non-conference games. You don't beat Bama like we did last year without consequences. This league is 100% controlled by Nick Saban and Alabama. It's mafia level organized crime. You'll never convince me otherwise.
Yeah and we will see if this continues to hold up next week. The league owes us a very favorable whistle against UK and probably the rest of the year honestly, because UGA will get it in that game. Let’s see if we continue to battle the other team and the refs next week.

**** was awful.

I said the game was over when we were up 20-7. Gotta finish. We played like a Butch led team, not to lose.
Come on Trippie , Hype went for it on 4th down twice in our on territory because he knew we had to score more. We weren't going to stop bamas offense no matter what we did. They held our guys when ever needed or got bailed out by the pipsqueak refs. GBO 💥

I think every fanbase message board should have a 24 hour cooldown period after a loss. Would eliminate some real idiotic posts from emotional and drunk posters.
Can’t do that. The first 48 hours after a loss are crucial. Most times, fanbases never figure out where the blame for a loss belongs if they don’t come to a conclusion within 48 hours.

Hyams is grilling the officiating from yesterday. That’s saying something.
SEC is worth $750 million dollars, just last year.

inexcusable that a corporation worth that much $ puts out a product that crappy, and pushes certain teams to win.

only way they will change is if people don't support the product. that's a choice.

No one, and I mean no one, who wants to retain an ounce of credibility believes that a team with a terrible pass protecting offensive line, against our front, that has averaged about 75 yards a game in penalties the last two games, legitimately committed only one penalty for 5 yards yesterday.

Joe missed 1 guy in the Redzone and that was Warren. If Warren jumps more than the 3 inches he jumped he probably catches it. Go look at the plays when we're goal to go. Fade to Kaleb Webb against their best corner. QB sweep, option run...redzone play calling was terrible.
You’re blind or didn’t watch.
I just watched the replay. 1 tipped, 2 high and 1 two yards in front of the WR .
But go ahead and keep making excuses for something that happens every game.
Was the fade to Webb his only option? No
Was his pass to the middle his only option? No.
Playcalling? Run up the middle don’t work because the O line gets pushed back, run around the end don’t work because we don’t block outside defenders , passes rarely work because most are not on target or we don’t make a play and catch it.
I guess they could call something different and we could add that to the list that aren’t executed.

Nick Saban took an undisciplined team and made them a juggernaut in a week!

Forgive me if already addressed but can someone explain this call to me??

Seldon caught it, but they said Dee called a fair catch, if you go back and watch (if you didn’t see it) you’ll see that Dee didn’t even raise his hands above his waist. That led to us being on the 3yd line.

If you go and read that actual rules, it says a player has to have a hand ABOVE his head.

Would that have changed anything? Probably not, but as a player knowing you’re on the 3yd line, it hurts

CFB is entertainment, not sport. We'll keep seeing more and more of this (and our game) as long as the conferences instruct the refs on how to call or not call games.
I see this type of issues all the time watching NBA...when experts discussing officiating and one say the fix was in...... It's all about ratings .....it probably killed selection committee to put TCU in Playoff.....college sports are Politics now....

Well, Bama’s ran all over us in 2nd half yesterday. That made me question us against the run a little.
Ref ball aside, our offense stalling out repeatedly kept our defense on their heels in the second half. They used more read options as well and had our guys second guessing their gap assignments.

They held up pretty well stopping a lot of plays but still gave up too many chunk runs overall in the second half. Though that’s been an issue for them on occasion all season. Even AP’s QB got a 45 yarder on us.

All in all I think the run D will be fine. The offense sputtering out is, has been, and will continue to be the achilles heel of this team.

What about the other 2 misses, were they held 2? Castles, there were like 3 Bama players in the area, was he even the one that he should of been throwing it to?

The 2 red zone failures is the only thing you can complain on Joe from the 1st half, he was on ,,but they were huge!

We’ve been bad all year in the red zone.
Absolutely Castles was the primary receiver. Why do you think he was held? The plays to him and Warren were designed to the TE’s. The only Miss was to Warren, and that’s kind of debatable. There were guys short, and Warren got very little lift to catch it.

That was such a key moment. Went from momentum swinging in Bama’s direction to full blown change.

ill tell you that bra is right, until there is a level of accountability. the officiating will only get worse. that is an easy fix.

it's basic economics. large corporation, large profits. officiating is an operational cost. lower the cost, higher the profit. the only static thing is the viewership.

Edit: If the rub with officials is that they are underpaid, and lack benefits. Is simple, there will be a direct corollary between well trained, happy employees & product on the field.

If its ESPN, CBS, and Fox pushing for 'less penalties.' Then, NCAA should step in and flex its 5 lb dumbell muscles. Increase pay, standardize the calling (offer more training), and create a simplified level of accountability. Fines? Demotions? Suspensions? Every employee can be replaced.

Well, when my eyes saw several (3) holds that weren't called. it must be bad.

we had a dinner party last night. so turned the game off after the last bama td. figured id catch the replay. i get sick watching the crappy officiating, and, watching us implode.

tennessee was always going to have to play its best game to win in tuscaloosa.

I’m pretty sure he’s throwing to spots. I guess you believe every poor throw is on the QB. There are plays where the timing is off, and holding will certainly affect it.

You’ve already made up your mind it’s Joe’s fault, so there is no use in discussing it. The throws to the TE’s were open and the correct reads. Most scrutinized QB at UT.
