The “nugget” is interesting if true. Would confirm my theory that Heupel called the plays last season but it’s Halzle’s show currently. Makes it seem like he did the same with Golesh in 2021 and let him flex in 2022. Common denominator? When you have a QB who syncs with your scheme, the playcalling miraculously improves.

In the end it all goes through Heupel’s headset, and I can guarantee him and Hazle are constantly talking and coming up with the next play. There is a reason Heupel carries his own play sheet in hand all game.
