If we didn't pay Nico and JP etc etc etc...they WOULD NOT BE HERE....those stupid numbers don't meanI’m not aruguing that lol
I’m arguing that the our recruiting is on par with those past classes, good for 5-6 in the SEC like we are currently.
The coaching is the major difference here.
Peepaw….quit kicking and screamingIf we didn't pay Nico and JP etc etc etc...they WOULD NOT BE HERE....those stupid numbers don't meanexcept to prove that if we were NOT paying big, we sure as hell wouldn't have anywhere close to what we do have.
We'd be trying to win with scrubs like every other poverty program
100% I could barely stomach walking the stairs at Ogle's just to go down water rides.I am scared of heights. Not so much in a plane though. It's surreal, like I'm not really off the ground.
I always thought it was wild how slow it looks l when you're that high, compared to the same speed close to the ground.
are they sharing the cost of greatness or dumping the entire cost in the laps of the fans?My take...I hate that prices have gotten out of hand, that good hard working loyal Vols that stayed loyal no matter what, that took gut punch, after gut punch, after gut punch, cannot afford to take their families to a good game anymore..but I wanted us to be great again...and we ARE great again...and this is the cost.
It is what it is...if I can't take it anymore, then I don't have to care anymore...that's my choice, and so I will hang in there until I just can't anymore like I did with MLB.
I wanted us to be great again...and this is the cost.
Also, it's 15%. not a big difference, depending on how you look at it. 10% goes to the athletes. So only a playoff appearance makes it worth paying freaking TEN PERCENT more?
This is a really really good football team, it has to be to even CONTEND for a playoff spot coming out of the SEC...we went dang near twenty f'n years without a good football team much less one that is one of the best 8-10 teams in the country!
Have you so quickly forgotten what being truly hopeless felt like?...go back and watch a game from the 20 season and maybe you will have a full download of that awful awful evil memory, and maybe it will jolt you back into some common freaking sense and gratitude for what we have NOW.
Whether we beat Okie or not...this team is a blessing. No matter who we play this year...we actually have a REAL chance to beat them because we have a really good-great football team again.
In 20...we couldn't beat anybody.
Before that we lost to Georgia Freaking State...come on man.
Therapy taught me self-talk against anxiety. Just one trick, but very effective.Anxiety is no joke. You know it doesn't make sense, but you can't control it.
I don’t disagree with anyone who says the increase in ticket prices is too much. I totally understand. I’ve only been able to go to a couple games over the last 3-4 years bc of the ticket prices, but at the same time what would you want the Athletic Department to do? They gotta strike while the irons hot, especially in this new college football/NIL landscape. The other major problem with it is the timing of it. Of the economy was doing better people I think would be more ok with it, but groceries are high, gas is high, hell I think we even have to pay for air now. Then they add this on top of everything else, it's just too much.
That is the one bucket list thing, well one of two including snow skiing, that I will never get to do now thanks to my destroyed knees.100% I could barely stomach walking the stairs at Ogle's just to go down water rides.
Flying is easy. Well, until you go skydiving...that's something else when those tiny doors open. But you don't get a choice to turn back when you legally have to go tandem.
And yet totally worth it.
You've got to give your all, McGill. Danny said so....I thought that said a 10% increase
Like I've always said. I don't hate the player, I hate the game. But I think the money should come from the multi millions in revenue created instead of using it as another gouging tool.I don’t disagree with anyone who says the increase in ticket prices is too much. I totally understand. I’ve only been able to go to a couple games over the last 3-4 years bc of the ticket prices, but at the same time what would you want the Athletic Department to do?
