So according to AP, the program was under the impression that Heard would be available against OU, but he apparently didn’t want to wait until Saturday to test his ankle and decided to just stay home mid last week.

That would be a puzzling decision from a guy trying to get himself on draft boards to just stay home if he could’ve potentially played. Idk. Maybe he doesn’t want to risk a long term injury with only a year of eligibility left. I know that field wouldn’t have done him any favors.

Hopefully he’ll be back against Arkansas and we won’t have to think about it going forward.

If Hawkins gets dinged in a game or hurt and can’t play who’s next up at Oklahoma?

If true then that’s perfectly fine and I’d support him in that. If he thinks he wasn’t ready then that’s his decision to make and no one else. I hope he comes back ready to play!

It would be nice if he got another chance and redeems himself. I think they mishandled that QB room so poorly that his head is probably scrambled.

I guess that is my overall biggest point.

There are no more balladeers, Willie, Waylon, Hank, Merle. Even Glen Campbell, Jerry Reed, Possum, hell man. Some of those songs had orchestras in background.
