My kids are the same. We fixed up an old building, made it really nice though (work in progress) on our property for he and his new wife. She's in med school so money's not flowing at an excessive rate. My daughter and her husband are both professionals, both have good jobs. They have over six figures saved up and can't find anything that they like in their price range. They're wanting acreage and it's unreal what acreage is bringing around Knoxville that is buildable not unusual to see $20-$30K per acre. That would be $2-$300K for a 10 acre plot.Yeah. That'll work. I know several newlyweds that want renters at their 1st home.
My point is, it shouldn't be like this. The "American dream" for my family was getting a job, getting a home, getting married, and starting a family. I'm close to 50 yrs old so it's not effecting me like it is my kids. They're in competition with US "migrants" and illegals.
It interesting to me how many people move from a country or even a state because they hate what it’s become there… then bring the same culture and politics with them that turned their prior home into a hell hole anyways.Any new people moving to Tennessee should face a screening process. Right of refusal.
Not reallyMajority of housing crisis is due to PE and investors buying up properties, many times with cash purchases.
