Zero faith the OL suddenly gets better next year. We lose our starting C and Elarbee has shown to me that he is not developing these players. If this doesn’t change along with play calling (which is heavily affected by OL play) then we may want to buckle in tightly.Have to reset our expectations for this team.
Take the 30,000 foot view. Talented freshman QB. Old but thin OL. Dominant defense. We will likely be in every game, but just like tonight, a lot of SEC teams can upset us.
6-6 heads are rolling.
7-5 is absolutely unacceptable.
8-4 a big disappointment but not unreasonable.
9-3 should be expected.
10-2 is playoffs and exceeds expectations.
11-1 very little chance of happening. Mostly bc of the OL.
We have loaded the cupboard with talent, but we have slacked on the OL. Blame whatever or whoever you want for that, but it's a glaring problem and has been for two years now.
If the OL makes huge strides next year then I think we have a higher ceiling in 2025.
