But now that NIL is tables takes for starting qb, you can't just change your expectations for RS freshman qb because they're all getting paid. That doesn't make them all of a sudden able to avoid young qb struggles.

Exactly. I look at it like any business with shareholders. We have a vested interest and have every right to expect results. Obviously those who donate more have more of a say.

And I get it, he’s a college kid and learning, but he accepted the contract, and should realize this criticism and expectations are going to come with it. Nobody is forcing anybody to accept these NIL deals.

what happened to the offense we ran the first three games? misdirection, shuttle pass, pitch, end around, crossing patterns, heaven forbit a slant, design pass to the RB ... running it up the middle doesn't do squat when your Oline is playing horrible.

It also helps when they don't call clear, textbook targeting on you after review in the next-to-last drive. The Cal quarterback didn't fully lose consciousness after he was hit in the earhole, but there was subtle flexor posturing after he hit the ground. He was just this side of being knocked out. That was the difference in the game, and it was egregious. Miami definitely turned it up a notch late and Cal started to look more like I expected Cal to look, but that game swung on the targeting call.

Why can’t we do 12 personnel the entire game to offset the 3-3-5? Extra blockers to run the ball effectively but can also throw at any time? Does this not work? I’m not a X’s and O’s expert..

Heck no. A college football game against an FCS opponent should never cost more than $30. UTC game this year was $70+. Now they want “10%” more per ticket. I’ll sit at home doing something else with my kids before I pay those prices and I make more yearly than the amount another poster posted earlier.

Big Ole Glen’s unit sure showed up last night Bigtime…. Blue font. As did the defense that couldn’t get off the field mostly first half and then the last drive in the game against a backup quarterback. Pathetic awful inexcusable loss. That’s what it is.
