Anyone else contemplated cease watching Tenn football just for the reason of how it makes you feel when we lose these types of games?

Hate to admit it but it just guts me after a loss, especially when it’s a team you should have won! Everyone including me become totally irrational.

I couldn’t fathom doing that since it’s been a fixture of my life since I was born basically. Probably the case for most of y’all.

But I will admit I wasn’t as adamantly opposed to whoever I was dating at the time or my parents or whoever making plans on fall Saturdays from 2018-2020.

Yes, but midseason 2016-2020 killed some of my emotional attachment, so I don’t take the losses nearly as hard these days.

Part of being an adult is choices. What makes you happy? what makes you sad? Angry?

The emotions last night were frustration and a bit of anger. Truth is, have 0 skin in any of these sporting events.

If it ceases to be enjoyable, then why watch them? That is a choice. Personally wouldnt choose to watch any show that made me sad, or mad. Why waste time on football?

I don’t watch TV or movies but most of my favorite bands would be considered sad. The Smiths, The Cure, all grunge bands. Few hair metal acts like that too.

Do you only listen to happy music? I’m not being sarcastic I’ve just never heard that take. Might explain the disconnect in my personality and a lot of people here lol

Individuals get too caught up in the results of the game or games being watched. I myself get upset occasionally on a result of a sporting event but the next day I realize once again there's more important things in the World than a game. Like family and life in general.
