Recruiting Football Talk VIII

This is such a specific question, it's hard to search for Amazon and maybe I need to fabricate something if possible.

So - being without water foreseeably for the next month, if not months, I need to tap into the moran braintrust for a moment.

Showering - I was thinking of buying something similar to a camping "portable shower" but not sure if it would fit into my actual shower. Any ideas how to accomplish a manually fed showerhead inside my shower?

Washing Clothes - Thinking of just having a large bucket of water with detergent and swishing the clothes and letting them soak. Then rinsing in a clean bucket. May have to do this on the ground/in the grass for all the runoff. Then have a balcony where I could hang them. Thoughts or better ideas?
For clothes, I'd just go to Waynesville or somewhere nearby that has water and a laundromat. Weekly outing with the family, pick up some food to go somewhere and hang out and play games/cards while you do laundry. It's pretty cheap.

Showering is tougher. Find a cheap gym to join in a nearby area with water and use that? I know Waynesville has water again, so I'm sure there are other places in the Asheville area (not sure where you are) that have water.

I just don't understand what's up with the play calling when the players have shown they can execute certain plays. W just haven't called the plays in 2 games now. No wacky formations Heupel is known for either. Just vanilla stuff with the same play call pattern.

"We got 5yds on 1st down again, what do you wanna do now?"

"You already know, run it up the middle, don't ask me again!"
This doesn’t account for the penalties…our Oline has been very undisciplined. It’s either jump offsides, hold, or lineman down field penalty dam near every bad series we have

We didn't use him last night because we had ad play calling. We've used him all year in 12 personnel very successfully.

Your question should be "why did we bring in an amazing stud to help us run 12 personnel then not run it?"
Maybe, seems like about the same to me.
2 different ways to ask the same question.
Don’t use/Dont need
Then why bring him in?
To use against Kent st/ UTC?

@Smokey123 More to our conversation

His statement is misleading. Just watched a bunch of offensive plays from a few games. 2021 UF ran an odd front BUT had a jack LB on the line everytime so that doesn’t really count. 2023 UF mixed it up a lot. They ran some 3-2 and 3-3 (this seemed to be dictated from our formations motions) but mainly stuck to their 4-2 with some 4-1. But they ran mostly man with 2 high safeties. Mizzou did switch to a 3-2 tho. The common denominator seems to be 2 high safeties and playing man. It takes away (for the most part) the deep choice, it limits YAC, and if you can limit the run game we won’t be able to move the ball

I guess. But it’s not like we ever figured it out. We scored 14 points. All 14 right out of halftime. We were scoreless in 3.5 quarters. So whatever adjustments Heupel made didn’t seem to work all that well. Its just a troubling trend.
I didn’t see many if any adjustments.
We just happened to finally break one of the 30 up the middle runs for a scoring opportunity,
I don’t even remember how we scored the other 7

I think the SEC as a whole is a lot closer together than it has ever been.

Ole Miss lost to Kentucky (at home)
Alabama lost to Vandy (essentially a home game)
Vols lost to Arkansas (on the road)
Missouri got smoked on the road and almost lost to Vandy at home

As disappointed as I was last night, we absolutely still have everything to play for in front of us. I am confident with our defense that we will be close in every game. Hopefully these next couple games at home can help Nico settle in and we get this thing rolling

Mizzou when they smoked us last year mixed it up and ran something they never put on tape. VQ guys have talked about it quite a bit.

Apparently teams have special packages they only show Heup in an effort to stop him.
An apparently when it works and they do ,
He has no adjustments.

They have. I first noticed it Uga 2022, teams started doing it more last year. I was was on here talking about it and saying the offense wasn’t simply Joe Milton and Defenses had figured out Heup to a certain extent and people called me dumb everytime

I'm glad no one is blaming any of it on the holding every single play or the obvious pass interference no-calls, especially late in the game.

Kyle Olson was the referee last night. He officiated the SEC championship game and our Uconn game last season. I looked at the UConn game thread last night and we were fussing about missed holding calls all through it. His crew seems to call ball games one way only.

*we need a thread or spreadsheet of referees and what games they call, like KY has for basketball.

*In the past, I'd take a picture of the referee, get as many names as possible, and document them in the game threads. I've not done that this year because I've been watching with my family. I'll start adding them again (sometime during/after the game) for future references.

The way we played last night doesn’t give me any hope for the rest of the year. We can lose a lot of games playing like that.
You’re right about that, can’t believe I agree with you once and it’s somewhat. BUT, I don’t believe we play the same way going forward. This is where we have butted heads. I believe and will continue to have hope whereas you have always jumped gleefully on our win lose total and smiled to yourself when we lose a game. We did, get over it and move on. I have.
