Elarbee needs to go but I think Heup has called solid games on offense the last 2 weeks. Film shows a ton of throws that are available. For many reasons, they aren’t being hit. Wanting CJH fired (albeit that’s a small % of our fan base) is asinine at this point.I'm baffled by those turning on Heupel, saying everyone has figured out our offense. What do they expect to happen? Do they think DW is going to fire him or something? That would be stupid. For one, we're still on probation. And two, coaches are not lining up to come to Tennessee. Does he need to make some adjustments to his staff? Possibly. But Josh Heupel isn't going anywhere unless it's by his own choice. And that would be devastating to this program.
Bingo! I am hoping it gets the stale and lack of confidence taste out of their mouth after Josh went super conservative in the second half of Oklahoma. I think that really affected us all the way through the Arkansas game. I think Nico‘s fumble on the first drive Affected us for the rest of the half. If he doesn’t fumble that and probably scores on the keeper or at least gets close, the outcome may have been extremely different and the game may have gotten out of hand quickly. We need a lot of good things to happen early on Saturday, so that the offense stays confident, and Josh stays aggressive with his playcalling. The thing I am most impressed by and will set the tone for the rest of the year is not settling for a FG in overtime.
They could have easily taken 3 knees and kicked.
Instead they drove it down their throats and mixed run and pass.
That was aggressive and tone setting.
The team responded.
