They'll have to beat BYU or Iowa State in the championship game to make the playoffs though. And the only reason they could end the season 10-2 is because somehow they don't have to play either this year. If BYU and Iowa State both go undefeated and the only loss happens between them is in the title game then I think both make the playoffs. Doubt Colorado as a 3rd best in conference gets in though.

I hate KY. Kroger field. Bad turf (instead of a grass named for their state). Stupid checkerboards on sleeves. Dork chrome helmets. Zero football tradition (don't give me Bear Bryant).

A lot of football left to be played going to be hard not to include 4 sec teams into the playoffs. I don’t see how the ACC gets two in, I don’t believe the CFP panel will allow it after what happened FSU last year…that conference is a joke so winner of the ACC champ game will get a bid and that’s it in my mind..

I wonder how much of Reed's success was due to LSU not preparing for him? He looked outstanding. I want USCe to win (but I really want aTm to beat them by about 150 too)

When a player transfers, the receiving school has to pay the original school 1 year of the original NIL contract amount OR 1 year of future NIL contract amount, whichever is greater. This rewards small schools for finding and developing players into D1 prospects. So no longer do the small schools have to totally rely on getting pummeled by big schools for a payday, they can also sustain their programs and facilities on developing underrecruited project guys.

It also reduces the size of transfer contracts so fewer of those guys shopping for a huge payday because schools know they'll have to pay double. It might also reduce the size of high school signee contracts and encourage guys to stay at a school. Example: If a guy like Nico with a giant contract gets benched, he may not have a lot of suitors willing to pay Tennessee that buyout, so Nico is better off staying at UT and earning his job back.

Then, when a school fires a coaching staff and a bunch of guys transfer, the new coach likely will have a substantial pile of NIL money to work with from transfer buyouts to rebuild a roster year 1.

Overall, increases parity by helping small school create revenue and decreases time to rebuilding programs. This would probably not be popular with programs like ours who currently benefit from being at the top of the totem pole, but probably benefits the sport as a whole.

The deion haters have been mia for a month or so. Best believe when the buffs lose again, they will be pounding their their chest. It would be a nice gesture from them if they could apologize as loud as their negative posts lol

Made the comment before reading Heupel’s comment on Matthews. Does seem that way, but I’d still play him with a very very suspect UK team and downright awful MSST team coming to Nathan’s over the next couple of weekends. Get to a comfortable point and just tell him to go earn it. Some times it clicks in games and then it’s full steam ahead. Hopefully we see him this weekend.

Yea, only way they make it to the playoff is to win the big 12. They need some inconference help and to win out to even have a chance for the playoff.

Acc gets 2 if miami only loses in the conference title game.
