Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Sure it does. They should be just as nervous to be at 10-2. That's the point!

You guys act like we're predicting that the Vols WILL be left out, and hoping we are. That's stupid.

We're saying that a 10-2 UT with one of those losses being to a BAD ARK team, instead of losses against BAMA and UGA, doesn't look nearly as playoff bulletproof as we thought it would before the season started.

Interpretation: Losses to ARK and UGA < Losses to Bama and UGA. Especially when other conferences are threatening to crowd.

It is the WIN against BAMA that supercedes ANYTHING Kiffy can play!

The moment you get married your plans are set on fire. Not always for the worst, but you hold them like sand.
Too true. When I met my wife to be, I had been sketchinging plans to build a stock rack on my truck, and move farther out into the country. Next thing I knew, we were engaged, and Ole Brownie the GMC got traded for a little Honda. 🤷

We hope. That's the point.

Again, a loss to ARKIE is worse than a loss to Bama. And further, the wins against OU, NCSU, etc don't look as good as we'd expected before the season started.

There would seem to be a little more acceptance to the idea that the above is true. Unless one is guaranteeing that a win over the worst Bama team in decades guarantees us a playoff spot--all other factors be damned.

That's probably not what you were saying, so I'll assume we're closer to one another's viewpoints than we know we are.

I will never forget the morning my pregnant wife rolled over and woke me up and said we were buying a new bed which turned into a new bedroom suit. Lol 😆 I had been with her long enough to know to get out of the way.
