Recruiting Football Talk VIII

WR talent is NOT dynamic. At all. No reason to have insane talent, and not use it. Which gets to 2nd grievance. Halzle does NOT prepare this offense. Game plans seem to be dook. I mean, two open dates...what the hell did they do?

Where is Nico running on 3rd down? Designed run on RPO? Throw on slant?

Our WR's are big and physical but no game changers. I dont know man. Got to find a way to insert some new looks.

Love the development of TE's though.
Dumb post is dumb.

I'm not even going to argue the obvious truth after this reply because you are too thick to understand it though it is blindingly clear to anybody with eyes..

I will say this out if what little hope I have that you and others that keep spewing this drivel will suddenly have a ureka! moment...I have strong doubts though..

The plays are there...EVERY FREAKING GAME...

The plays that were called..if just simply executed...should have resulted in 55 points and over 650 yards..

It's just a series of unfortunate events....period...the plays are there.

Great to see him buying in and understanding what gets you playing time. That screen used to be Hype offense bread and butter and last night looked more like OUR offense. Not sure if it’s more confidence in Nico or just what the defense was giving us..
Bru said once that he feels like it improves our passing game to run plays early where we can "soften up" the corners 😂 and let them be the ones taking the hits. I think "soften up" was his phrase; if not, some similar euphemism.

Oh yeah....I forgot..

This is what is stealing sleep from me. Why have the Vols moved from a fast paced hurry up offense to one where the entire offensive team stares at the sideline 'til the play clock is at 15 seconds or so and then gets set for the play?

I’ve been massacred on here for saying we need a new WR coach…..

Because they don’t trust a Redshirt freshman to be able to read an entire defense and make calls at the line. It’s that simple.

A two loss Alabama team has a 0% chance of getting in over a two loss Tennessee team.
Don’t be so sure. They’ll probably say something like well Bama woulda won if they were at home and use ifs and subjectives to justify their decision.

I never want to see a field goal attempt though. Never. Seen all I need to see on that front. Unless they give him an exorcism.
I hope we can score some TDs early in the next game so he can kick a couple easy ones from the left hash with no pressure and remember he is a very good kicker...he is just a very young kid at a extreme high pressure position....especially since points have been at a premium the last few weeks.

Bama didn't make the 2022 playoffs. And last year Bama didn't have a head-to-head win over FSU. You said that the committee would ignore a head-to-head win between teams with identical records. That's never happened.
In 2022, they put Bama at 5 and us at 6 with same records even though we beat them.

Unfortunately, last year showed how influential ESPN is in the process. I don’t think there is any doubt that ESPN wanted Bama for ratings. ESPN was pushing the Bama narrative the last Saturday as games were being played. Plus, Heather Dinich is the committee mouth piece, and she was preparing her story as to why the committee picked Bama.

I know this has already been said a lot, but we really need to play Mike Matthews more next week. I don’t care how. Find a way. Too many drops occurring, and I also don’t even want him to entertain the idea of transferring because we sat him on the bench all year while other guys can’t catch,
So we have seen some of the WRs that are playing drop passes on Saturdays so far. We have not seen many targets at all for Matthews so we assume he would not drop them? Is that based in some sort of evidence or purely HOPE that someone else on the roster would be better? And if we have to shrink the playbook when he is out there or the QB does not have confidence in him because he is not always where he is supposed to be then.... who cares? Just because you are tired of seeing the WRs struggle?

Well by that logic ESPN should be our biggest fans because we have some of the highest viewership ratings in the country.

If GA and FL want to play home and away, I would say these two videos of three different cops beating and/or tasing three different fans without apparent necessity would be the time to make their move. Doubt it will happen.

One news story said a witness to the tasing incident began when a cop accused a fan of having an illegal ticket. (There were empty seats all around the fan in nose bleed territory in the video, whether they had all fled the violence, I don't know.) The alleged witness said the fan responded by saying that he paid for the ticket and he wasn't moving, and the police officer — instead of asking him to show his ticket — whipped out his taser and lit him up twice before the beating commenced.

I just don’t understand this argument. Bru and Thornton are dudes that many, many teams would want on their teams. They played well. The issue is not talent- the issue is catching the football by others. We have guys running open- last night, against Bama, against UF, against Arkansas. Make the plays when they are there. They would be different games. I also saw some 2022 wrinkles last night that we haven’t seen much this year. Got TE’s open down the seam.

Maybe I’m watching a different channel than some of you.
No...they are just football dumb or blind, and parrot the stupid 🦬💩 they hear others say.

Hope they get sued to oblivion. Maybe these dudes were “non-compliant” but they certainly don’t look violent. Beatings appear uncalled for. And shooting a taser gun in the middle of a crowd of people? What the hell.
Dude...you just saw one small part of the thing...you have no freaking idea if they deserved it or not.

Maybe they did and maybe they didn't...but unless we see the whole incident none of us will ever know.
