Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Pretty damning.

Meh. We broke Clemson in the Orange Bowl. They haven't been the same since.

Dabo was a member of the cheat with impunity club, so NIL hurt. Not because Clemson NIL is bad. After all, according to Dabo, Jesus himself runs Clemson's NIL. It's because other teams can now compete financially without the NCAA coming after them, and thus the playing field has been leveled. Dabo's bag game has been neutralized.

I also don't believe the Dabo story about being against the portal on some "moral high ground." I think Dabo has tried and failed to get players in the portal. They don't want to play for him. He's a goober.

The other thing that kills our production is we go fast until we get inside the red zone, then slow down to the pace of a turtle. Why don’t we just keep the foot on the gas?!
I assume it has something to do with how much more limited the route tree becomes for the WRs. Lots of playcalls are no longer available. Everything gets condensed and it becomes more important to get the exact right call based on how they are being defended. But that might not be the biggest reason. Just hypothesizing.

F Kentucky. What a piece of 💩 tweet.

The crowd didn't boo Barion Brown, for example. Because they believed he was really injured.

The crowd booed the long train of KY injuries that just happened to happen when we were running tempo and got a first down. It happened all night. Like this:

In case you missed it (and you think Stoops doesn't play the fake injuries game) here is Stoopid personally running on to the field, waving his arms at his players, and grabbing his hamstring to signal a player to go down. #67,107

Sadly, I’m not sure we’re gonna get a home playoff game in Neyland. Win out and we’re a top 4 seed. Lose a game and we’d be more likely in the 9-12 range instead of 5-8

They are low IQ, they can't wrap their head around the concept of us booing because we think the injuries are fake, not because we hate them. They think we hate them like they do us and we clearly dont.

I am officially out on Brian Callahan. Adios pea brain 👎🏼👎🏼

Then you are dead.

I don't see that you ever said that. I do see that you like to troll.

Ek is doing a great job. Has been a strength.

Some expect these players to be perfect and never mess up. There’s such a small percentage of people alive that can do what they do at this level. It’s wild.

I didn't miss anything they faked plenty. Clearly they still think nothing will happen if they fake them.

It will continue until folks actually start getting fined or suspended.

This is what is stealing sleep from me. Why have the Vols moved from a fast paced hurry up offense to one where the entire offensive team stares at the sideline 'til the play clock is at 15 seconds or so and then gets set for the play?
I'm guessing it's so the opposing D-CO can't call in an adjustment to the MLB. I don't agree with it, but that is probably it. Communication stops at 15 seconds.
