The holding is absolutely ridiculous Heup even mentioned it, "things were getting very grabby out there." What make me feel a little better is that we are so fast most of the time it makes no difference. This is too big to steal and think it is starting to scare some people. They were holding, not just grab and go holds, but chokeholds, grab and takedowns, and horse collars on every big play they had.
Meanwhile...on our first possession aftercwe had bulldozed our way down the field, the crooks called a BS ticky tack hold on Campbell, after the sack the play before which IMO is why the FG ended up being so long and ultimately missed.
Kentucky defense was garbage...if we hit those relatively easy FGs, and our guys just catch the beautiful perfect passes that hit them right in the hands we put 600-700 yards and 50+ points on these losers. The refs just made it easier for them to stick around with their crooked .
I wish the move to stick with Daylight Savings Time permanently went through. It’s going to be dark when I get off work for the next while. It was 78 degrees in Knoxville and the sunset was at 5:38.

Let’s just get to the point- it’s about ratings. Nothing else. You can't seriously say getting absolutely blown out by a bad team is an equal loss to barely losing to a good team. This isn't the nfl, style points and quality of loss/win has always mattered, even in the bcs days. The USC loss was far far far worse than any loss Bama had.
It's not unreasonable to say it offsets the quality of the lsu win.
In your own words, we got 2 wins for lsu and 2 losses for usc, so that brought us to even. So now you look at who's still got their starting QB, which the committee has said matters to them, and that's why we ended up lower. 0% chance we rank below Bama in 22 if Hooker wasn't injured.
The committee's final ranking is to get the best current rosters into what they feel is the proper ranking, not the best resume and record. The resume and record is only one of many inputs.
You're obsessed with this "who had the better resume" line of thinking when the committee has made it abundantly clear they don't care when it comes to starting QB being injured. They'd have done the same to Bama if Bryce Young got injured instead of Hooker.
But Joe Milton wasn’t a regular backup and then beat Clemson. So, they make it subjective and think they can predict the future? That’s what you are saying. Again, it’s about ratings more than anything else.Resume is a major input, but it's not the only input. We all knew fsu wasn't a top 4 team without their qb. It's not that hard. I think the resume should be all they rank, but it's obvious that fsu wasn't a top 4 team anymore despite the top 4 resume.
It's not a binary. You don't have to use only resume or don't use resume at all. They've chosen to use it as an input, but not the only factor.
Look I know you're a soccer guy, and my daddy always told me not to speak definitively on things unless I knew the subject (he said it a little differenter). The statement that we are not dynamic is absolute insanity. The problem has been injuries and inexperience period. The new guys are starting to get it and we are getting healthy.WR talent is NOT dynamic. At all. No reason to have insane talent, and not use it. Which gets to 2nd grievance. Halzle does NOT prepare this offense. Game plans seem to be dook. I mean, two open dates...what the hell did they do?
Where is Nico running on 3rd down? Designed run on RPO? Throw on slant?
Our WR's are big and physical but no game changers. I dont know man. Got to find a way to insert some new looks.
Love the development of TE's though.
Heup struck me as subdued in his post-game presser. Not your typical tone.Look I know you're a soccer guy, and my daddy always told me not to speak definitively on things unless I knew the subject (he said it a little differenter). The statement that we are not dynamic is absolute insanity. The problem has been injuries and inexperience period. The new guys are starting to get it and we are getting healthy.
If you listen to Heup talk you can hear it that he is frustrated because he know just how dynamic this offense is and will be. He doesn't say it when asked about the offense he bites his lower lip and just kinda turns his head. When this is all said and done we will be a monster.
If he was smart, he’d stick around. Look at how many guys in this offense make a huge jump in year 3 (Wright, Sampson). Heck, even Jabari Small had 13 TD’s as a junior.
I hope he looks at Sampson and how he patiently waited his turn and sticks around.
Why are you guys all arguing with @jave36? He's already agreed that he doesn't like it; just giving examples of how it 'is'.But Joe Milton wasn’t a regular backup and then beat Clemson. So, they make it subjective and think they can predict the future? That’s what you are saying. Again, it’s about ratings more than anything else.
Exactly. Obviously Squirrel has been playing hurt and I believe Bru has been banged up as well by watching him. That leaves Thornton as our only healthy, experienced receiver in an offense that relies heavily on receivers making reads. We are coming off both of our tackles being really limited. Most of these people talking about the offensive issues have no freaking clue. That's because the argument is pure fantasy. It's posters that want to feel more connected to what's happening out there. They see the end result that is easy to see; the scoreboard. Then they feel compelled to come up with solutions. I would love...love for these posters to actually be given the opportunity to "devise the gameplan and prepare the offense" against an SEC defense so I could laugh my a$$ off at how embarrassing it would be.
