Recruiting Football Talk VIII

That's nuts.

You and I are very similar. I always want to fight in fight to flight situations and can't stand injustice and people doing the wrong thing and hurting people. Just do the right thing but I need to change. Today the sermon was to trust in him even in the valley and obey because that is when he does great things.
Bad people committing injustices get the ultimate justice, they go to hell. Unless they ask forgiveness, then Jesus ate their justice for them. Either way justice is served, no need for us to try to make it happen.

But I'm like you, even minor injustices keep me up at night wondering how I can fix it.

My body does not allow for flight as an option. If talking doesn't work, then fight it is.

Who tf really cares? It's not like the players who were on the teams were schlubs. They were all good players, and a good player got left off. I'm sure she'll make it in the future, but I really don't give a crap. Just win.

The only player they could have added that would have caused me great excitement is Candace Parker. Yes, I know she's retired.
Rickea Jackson wouldn't have moved the needle for you?

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you be not judged.

Seems pretty clear to me.
It is not telling people to ignore sin. It is telling you that we are not called to judge at all. That is reserved for God. People like to use it as a verse to keep others from pointing out their sins. If you are in active sin, you probably aren't the best person to be calling out sins though. Why would someone listen to you tell them to stop sinning while you out there actively sinning?

Not calling you out Doc, but this verse is trickier than many would like to make it.

I've never told anyone but my wife about this but I went through the drive-thru at the Arby's on Rosa Parks Blvd. in Nashville a few years back. I was on a break from training for work and was alone. I pulled into a parking lot at the old Fountain Square and took one bite of a beef and cheddar and immediately blacked out. There was something crunchy and chunky that tasted like incense or something I have never experienced. When I came around my truck was running, I have no memory of starting it. I sat there staring at the stuff mixed with the cheese trying to figure out what just happened. I eventually felt normal enough to return to work. I took pictures of the substance and kept the sandwich for a while but decided to just let it go. I have no idea what is was but I am thankful that I recovered.. I hope your friend does not experience any long term effects and makes a full recovery.
Must be something about Arby's. I was eating at the Arby's on Murfreesboro Rd at Briley Pkwy (in the parking lot as well) roughly 25 yrs ago and bit into my roast beef sandwich and there was a band-aid in it (no drugs). I didn't pass out, but I did throw up and then just leave.

LOL at a highlight reel for evidence that someone is a dependably good player.

No one said she sucks, but she's not the all world player some make her out to be. And she's definitely not on the same level as Curry.
Right.

Milton has amazing highlights. That doesn't make for the best player though obviously lol

She removed herself from the process (not this cycle) after getting snubbed for… political reasons.

Random ass question for y’all. I’m looking for a change of scenery. I’m born and raised in Brentwood. I’ve thought about Idaho, Montana, Denver, Savannah, Charleston, San Antonio, etc.
Idaho is a great place if you can tolerate the cold.

Phoenix/Tucson are great if you can tolerate the heat.

Denver is great if you can afford it. I like San Antonio a lot too.

Those are probably among my top places I'd be willing to move. Northwest Arkansas where I live is also a surpsigingly nice area with all the Tyson and Walmart and jb hunt money.

Idaho and Montana are beautiful but COLD. Great place if you love the outdoors, but can dangerous due to the remoteness of spme areas and Montana is getting flooded transplants right now.

Savannah and Charleston are great. I didn't care much for San Antonio. Idk about Denver but a buddy lives south of there in Montrose and he says its a utopia. Loves everything about it.

Tbh I loved visiting rural Wisconsin and Minnesota. Again, cold. I wouldn't mind living in the Ozarks of Arkansas or Missouri.

There was not actually a question in there anywhere. Did you want to ask a question?
