Ole Miss got literally no help from the officials. 0 live ball fouls on UGA. We don't need to make excuses before the game is even played or justify a loss. We're going to win.Get ready for all the bs deep cut penalties in Athens. Illegal touching, ineligible lineman downfield, overcompetitiveness, etc.
lotta ball leftPeople always say I look too far ahead. It is how I process. I likely have beat the drum more than most that we had to win out once we had that bad loss. There were always scenarios that might make that not true...but here we are.
That said, I am at peace. This team can win. More importantly if this team cannot win in Athens then they lilely cannot win a title. I don't care for participation trophies. There is no reason to wring hands given that we control our fate and we've already spilt the sows milk that could have avoided it.
All that said, VN better not go out here and put up some BS FSU level drama if we don't. Instead let the frustration smolder like a fire and seeth like a building storm to help us to bring hell and fury on every opponent we face thereafter.
Mortgage on the line I think we cover this spread. Beyond that who knows. That is the more likely scenario IMO. UGA playing with an elimination game level of motivation at home sucks, but it is not a hill we cannot climb. Nico being banged up doesn't help either. If the line comes down I will be more confident he plays Saturday.lotta ball left
when people start making predictions and guaranteeing wins is when it all falls on its face
we've seen this play out so many times. most notably 2007, but it's happened plenty of times since.
No. It will be UGA's 3rd loss and an obvious indicator that UGA is just not good this season. They will have lost to a mediocre UT team. . . not a great Tennessee team that has wins over UF, Bama, and UGA in the same season with probably the best defense in the country. That will be the narrative. Our Georgia win is going to be pretty impressive too. Time to shut everyone up.
It’s been interesting to watch how we have adjusted our defense this year to take away each opponent’s strengths. It’s fun having a great defenseTennessee has not shown much extra pressure on defense because they haven't really had to and we may not need to against Georgia. Much to the shagrin of many of our fanbase the Vols have been content to sit back, give yards, and hunt ints. We sometimes go to a bear front and show simulated pressure or go cover one or zero when the other team gets in field goal territory when the grass gets scarcer. Every once and awhile you get a glimpse over overwhelming smother but most of the time it is very standard cover two and rush four because we can.
This year's Tennessee defense is not just stout it is dynamic and a weapon.
