Recruiting Football Talk VIII

As a season ticket holder, are you like this in the stadium? If so, it's a wonder the fans around you haven't come after you yet.
I may have sat next to him at the kentucky game. Dude was all woah is me and that missed kick will mean our doom. Finally had to shut him up. Was ruining my game day experience. 😡

I made a few dollars on Hooker for Heisman in '22. Got him preseason for +8000, I think. Cashed out with him around +250. Only a $10 bet, but think I got around $90, maybe it was $60, on cashout. I knew Heisman wasn't picking a Vol, 😂. Once they offer a cash out option, it was go time.

Love either scenario. Can’t wait to be the king of Texas. Beat Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas in a single year? I mean… what’s better than that?

Assuming also the natty
Don’t forget about vandy. 😎

I’m thinking about

15-1 🤠

Should be about right!

It’s been interesting to watch how we have adjusted our defense this year to take away each opponent’s strengths. It’s fun having a great defense
Which crazy enough I don't know what UGA's strength on offense is this year. Probably Carson Beck if I had to throw something out there. Their ground game hasn't been good this year.

I’m behind so forgive me if this has already been discussed.
What if and I’m just spitballing here but what if…….Spanky and the SEC wants Tennessee to win Saturday??
Texas and Tennessee both have one SEC lost. Both finish 11-1 play SEC Championship game. The loser would be 11-2 and still make CFP and Bama-UGA-Ole Miss at 10-2 would all make the CFP. That would put SEC teams possibly in CFP. UGA would be 9-3 🫣

I mean IF SEC is looking out for best interest for the conference...

Vols vs Texas in Atlanta (both with 1 loss). Winner is a 1 or 2 seed for playoffs, loser is likely highest "at large" seed and it leaves the SEC with Ole Miss & Alabama both sitting at 10-2. Missouri could also be 10-2 at that point.

We absolutely have to capitalize on our scoring opportunities in the first half. No more red zone fumbles, no more missed blocks, no more penalties, no more overthrows. If we do that, we can, and should, win this game.

If we can’t, our defense is going to have to play near perfect football. Kirby is really good at taking the air out of games if he gets a lead

No. It will be UGA's 3rd loss and an obvious indicator that UGA is just not good this season. They will have lost to a mediocre UT team. . . not a great Tennessee team that has wins over UF, Bama, and UGA in the same season with probably the best defense in the country. That will be the narrative.

Probably true, but if we're a 12-1 SEC champion the narrative doesn't really matter.
