If the playoff were today, No. 12 Georgia wouldn't be in it. Which means the Bulldogs' game against Tennessee on Saturday just got even bigger.
BYU needed a very suspicious call on its last drive to beat by 1 point a Utah team that has lost 5 games in a row and against BYU now with its third string QB playing in his first game..... No. 13 Boise State would elbow No. 12 Georgia out and earn the No. 12 seed because the five highest-ranked conference champions are guaranteed spots in the playoff.
Don’t you mean BYU. Boise played Nevada last weekHere is Heather Dinich's lede for her (committee-informed) column tonight.

In the back of my mind, I’ve wondered about the possibility of just sitting Nico to create uncertainty for the UGA coaching staff.I’ve never been one to say “I have a source” but for once I do. Out of respect for that person I will not divulge anything to say who he is and his relationship to the program. That being said, I asked him Sunday to give me any insight so I can calm my nerves and he said that Nico is a go and could have played Saturday, but with the score and the opponent, they wanted to rest him for the second half just to get him to 100%. I haven’t heard anything to say otherwise from him, and until I do I won’t believe anything else written about it. So I’d take things like this with a gigantic grain of salt and call it the media needing to create a story.
The committee will just take the angle of Bama beat Georgia, and Georgia beat TN. Doesn’t matter that TN beat Bama head to head. They will justify it. They did it with their ranking 2 years ago, and they will do it again. If whether one team gets in over another with the same record, the tiebreaker should ALWAYS be did they play each other. If they did, then the winner gets in above the loser. It’s simple.
yep they have the game board set up & strategized for their bidding.I firmly believe Tennessee defeats Georgia this coming Saturday.
Tennessee had a better defense and Georgia's offense isn't all of a sudden become great. Carson Beck is who he is this season, horrible.
The Committee will bury ever who loses this game so far down in rankings there will be no return.
So Tennessee wins 21-7 that's all Tennessee is giving up 7 damn points.
Who thought a group of humans would be able to put biases aside? further who loaded it with Bg10 homers?Just realized 4 of the top 5 this week are from the Big 10. Which is funny because the only reason those teams don’t have many losses is because they don’t play each other much. And the middle of the league is terrible. No one can possibly believe 4 of the 5 best teams in the country are in the Big 10….
