Recruiting Football Talk VIII

They were given 5.5 wins preseason.

Nobody hiring a new coach is sitting there thinking, "well he's not one of the 3 coaches currently undefeated, so he's not good enough!" Lol.

He's well ahead of schedule at a program that hasn't even won 7 games in 8 seasons haha
Pre season given means nothing.
It’s peoples opinion and often wrong.
He’s ahead of what schedule ?
Every decent team left the conference.
He’s doing what he’s paid to do

Josh Pate picked Georgia to win but Tennessee to cover.

He said he sees several places in this game where Tennessee has the advantage but pretty much said he can't pick against Georgia's "competitive spirit"

Can someone please tell me how this ****-show is somehow an improvement over BCS? I didn’t like the BCS at times (mostly because of how unforgiving it could be) but it would be better than this. All this playoff crap is just a way for the elite schools to have someone in the room helping ensure that their thumbs can be on the scales to give them the best outcomes.

Tell me how it’s fair for the Michigan AD (A cheating ass school is the chair of the CFP in case you didn’t know) give Indiana a quality win over MICHIGAN and have them jump us? That seems like a conflict of interest??
a 10-2 UT has a chance of being in the playoffs, and if you’re in you have a chance to win a Championship.

Absolutely 0 chances of a 10-2 UT winning a championship with the BCS

Which is why we need to punch uga in the mouth from the start and pray that they, and the crowd, shut down and quit early

No one respects us. Keep winning..
Just the way I like it.
Last time we played at uga, we came in ranked #1. Gave them all the motivation they needed.

This time both teams should have motivation to play their best game. I believe that our best game beats their best game. This time we have the best defense. Will make the difference.

Would be awesome if Boo Carter could return a punt or interception for a touchdown.

Regardless, I am still all

15-1 🤠

UGA currently has ESPN as their highest odds book. Right now they are winning.

ESPN being the highest book wins about 70% of the time. Realistically for betting, always wait till the last odds update before the game starts then go by that.

Not concerned till we find out if Nico plays.

I’m glad you said that..I was thinking about that myself…so my question is.risk that money and put it on TN’s ML now?..because our people are saying “he’s good to go” and i think the spread is that high because vegas is skeptical or waiting on that final call based on Nico…im thinking that’s why the spread was so high to begin with.

Yeah I mean, if you want to go ahead.

If you lock in the bet and Nico does end up playing, the odds go down and your cash out goes up before the game is even played.

Pro bettors will spend all week finding injury news for professional sports just so they can put in a bet on like Tuesday that has odds at +1000 but once injury news comes out, that +1000 becomes +300 since he will play more. If that’s the case a majority of betting places will offer a cash out before the game is even played.

It’s a risk, and I’m NOT gonna be the one to say yes or no lol

It was higher before the games last weekend. You could get +300 and the spread was like 12.

I really don't see a problem with having a committee of petty people with agendas and people who are best qualified to be hosting cooking competition shows picking the field for the twelve team playoff. You see the average smuck doesn't really understand things like "style points" and "game control", all they see is if a team can play football or not. It is important that all football demographics be represented and that factors other than being good at football be considered. This process is much more nuanced and beyond the ability of your run of the mill football expert.

Oh I know bro!…that’s what makes NBA difficult at times because they wait until like 4:10 eastern time dropping that injury news and once that happens the lines are chaotic…
