Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Oh and I hope Banks does not let Ga run up the middle the way he let State,

I mean listening to Banks it's very obvious that him and Heup knew going in they'd have to "pick your poison" State was going to have success because we were focused on shutting down their passing attack. And we did so at an elite level. They were 38.5% passing completion for 92 yards 0 TDs

we definitely gave them the run by design

Folks on here often don’t look at the overall picture… “coach know nothing I know lots”

It was pretty clear watching the game they had a cleverly set up strategy to beat MS St. by 20 and they were a point away from succeeding.

If you win 3/4 (offensive rushing, offensive passing, pass defense, & give up rush defense) you will win the game. I hope they do the exact same thing against UGA.

It seems kinda fishy to me. I think the Nico being injured is being played. I have heard some really crazy stuff about what seems be a not that big of a deal injury. Seizure in the locker room, he is unable to walk very well, he's practically blind, nutty stuff. The native is now that surely Nico will not play.
With Georgia looking so bad, if Nico is healthy this is at least an even game and we would probably be favored. If he's out that would swing it to Georgia. I wonder if that junk was being floated early to drive the money.
If it ends up he's rumored to be playing on Saturday afternoon or there's a game time decision for him to play... I'm thinking sucker bet. I say keep a close eye on Heup's friends that like to bet and what is being placed at noon on Sat.
Definitely gotta wait til gameday to make a decision on whether or not to put anything in on this game.

Mississippi State had the ball 12 times, punted 7, turned it over 3 times, and then scored TDs the other two. They only got 15 first downs the entire game, held to under 275 total yards anyone watching that game and trying to paint it as a bad defensive performance is an idiot.

Pretty stupid post. Here’s how this looks at the end of the season.

Georgia
6 home
4 road
2 neutral

Tennessee
7 home
4 road
1 neutral

Georgia finding out what it was like to play VOLS schedule for the last many years. Even had a homecoming game one year with the National Champion. (Auburn) Plus played Bama, etc. etc.

Good Lord this is so freaking simple.

24 Teams:

9 Conference Champions get in

15 at-large bids.

If schools complain that the Sun Belt doesn't belong......Tough. Switch conferences or get better.
I’m for no bids at all. The ”best” 12 teams can be found by:

Use the BCS system. The AP and Coaches polls would consist of equal regional representation. In other words, break up the country into 5 or 6 regions, and each region has 8-10 voters for both polls (this isn’t presently being done, but it is key in minimizing subjectivity). Then, the Harris poll can be used to crunch numbers and compare SOS, SOR, etc. Average the three polls and line them up in ascending order.

Also, I could get behind eliminating any team from consideration that’s not in a conference. If you happen to be Notre Dame, you‘re removed from the final rankings and every team behind you slides up. This is much simpler and eliminates as much subjectivity as is feasibly possible. If anyone has something that is less subjective, I’d love to hear it.
