DelusionalThat will probably inevitably happen. But there's no reason until then to engage in your delusional proposal. We already see what it looks like when Group of Five teams play SEC teams in September. Why would you want to see that again in December and January? Your suggestion was plain dumb. Fake egalitarian notions rather than using common sense.
They clean up the TOs and the sky is the limit for this team. Love the bench pieces too... Chemistry has a lot of potential. Love our athletic department... We are so lucky to have our AD and coachesHe's way more fluid than I envisioned. The whole team looks like water right now. Dk was amazing but at times it seemed like the team was not connected to what he was doing.
At least Indiana is undefeated. Texas and Penn State play nobody and still get top 5 rankings because of where they were in the pre-season. When they play anyone worth a damn. They look like a mid-major.
Any opportunity to list his QB as questionable was not going to be wasted by Heupel. Not concerned that Nico is questionable. That was going to happen.
Even if heupel knows he is likely going to be good to go, he is not going to let the opponent know.
The schedules are the issue for sure. We've fought that battle more than any other facing Bama and UGA the last decade.Half the teams in the SEC would be undefeated playing Indiana's schedule. They don't deserve a pass for being undefeated. I would take Texas over them any day of the week in terms of who I would not want to play in the playoffs.
Then why are they FBS?I'm not the one that suggested giving the Sun Belt champs automatic bids into a 24 team playoff. We already see how Sun Belt teams perform in September against SEC teams. Why would you want to see a repeat of that in January?
You jumped to the extreme that IU would already have 4 or 5 losses lol. Just mirroring. So it's either go by record and use zero context or play no games? You need to go to extremes rather than exercising common sense?
Look at it this way. As a Tennessee fan who would you rather see in the playoffs? Indiana or Alabama for a second time? I'd take playing Indiana on the road in a heartbeat over having to see Alabama again at Neyland. And I'm sure most fans would agree with that sentiment. So is that how you want the playoffs to be determined? The better team gets left out because a lesser team had better luck when it comes to scheduling? If it's Alabama getting screwed I'm sure none or us would care. But what if it's us getting screwed out of the playoffs at 10-2 in favor of a 11-1 Indiana team with that joke of schedule. Would you be fine with that?
He better learn to throw the ball away.My concern with Nico is that even if he clears protocol on Friday, one normal but hard hit Saturday could put him out for a couple weeks. You just don't know. It all depends on the severity of the initial concussion, and I've heard mixed reports on how bad it was.
Then why are they FBS?
The Champion of the Conference. Not the 8th place team.
It works in FCS.
24 teams. Not 12.
8 teams gets byes.
Would not want a play by play, but the VQ crew is like a local TV show. The quality might lack, but it's your local show. There will be a time when those dissappear.I imagined a Vol Network radio crew with Hubbs and Price, and this is how I had it in my head.
Hubbs: The Vols continue to move FOWARD down the field, Austin.
Price: y’know Brent, when the offensive line…y’know opens lanes for Sampson..uh…y’know, it really opens up the offense for…y’know Nico to throw the ball downfield.
