Recruiting Football Talk VIII

The official CFP site still states that the 5 P5 conference champions will receive automatic bids.

The Pac12 will still exist as a 2-team conference through 24-25 season with Oregon State and Washington State as the sole members competing in 4 sports (football, track&field, women's gymnastics, and wrestling).

That means as of now, one of Washington State or Oregon State would be presumed to steal a CFP automatic bid in 2024.
Why would they give an auto bid to a pac 12 conference champ when there are only 2 teams? Even if they're a 2 win team they get in?

Typically not a fan of this Reed Bacon guy, but he had some really great insight at the 34:17 mark. Audio is kind of low so make sure you turn your volume up.

Swap UT with Ole Miss.
With Bama, IMO. I think the top 4 are deserved, but after that, it's a huge toss-up. As for Bama, sure, they have tons of talent, and sure, DeBoer is a good coach, but it's still new. There's still a learning period there for new coach with new players.

The laws of probability do not apply to USB-A… it’s a fail every single time. 😑
The dude that invented the USB-A interface died not long ago. At the graveside, they tried to lower the coffin but it wouldn't go. They flipped it and tried again, three times, and then lowered it successfully in the original position. Strange.

Is that what he said? No it wasn’t. Do we shouldn’t expect our CBs to be proficient at their position?
If you have unrealistic expectations, " he should turn his head every play", you will always complain. He may want to understand the position before complaining. Statistically, the secondary has improved every year he has been here. Complain about the LBs not being able to cover in space or being too slow to read plays. That is where the complaints should be directed.
