Tennessee keeps losing the game, and some fans want to blow up the program

The rankings this week will be very unkind to Tennessee.

Yep. They have been trying to set this up for a long time for us to be the 2 loss SEC team that gets left out. I hate how much we get shafted and disrespected. It’s frustrating. We would destroy a few of those teams who will be ranked in front of us.

Fair. I still think 10-2 with a win over Bama and losses to Arkansas and UGA gets us in as it’s far more respectable than a win over UGA and losses to Kentucky and LSU.

This is what I don’t understand about the talking heads. How can you say Ole Miss should get in over us? We have just as an impressive win as they do, but they have way worse losses! LSU loss is worse than our Georgia loss, and UK at home is way worse than our Arky on road! How do you not evaluate the whole season (it’s why you play it), and say anything different?

Ole Miss might lose to Florida next week and I think Texas and A&M playing each other will benefit us regardless. I think it would be a little better if Texas won though.

I honestly think if Texas loses to A&M, we should jump them. They have 0 ranked wins, and losses would be to A&M and UGA (at home). We would have a great ranked win over Bama. How do you put them in over us with 2 losses?

Strange days having to root for Billy. But it helps us for CFP and long-term if Napier stays in Gainesville.

BYU losing opens door wide open for Colorado or Arizona State to win Big 12.

BYU losing just assures only 1 berth for Big 12 in CFP playoffs. Helps Tennessee in that way but Vols need for Mississippi or Texas A&M to lose to assure them of the 4th SEC playoff slot.

If Texas can’t beat A&M, I think we deserve to be in over Texas. Who will they have beat with a pulse if they don’t beat A&M (who by the way got hammered by SC)??

Correct me if I’m wrong but why do people just ask for Ohio State to decimate IU to get a big 10 out of the playoff. Why wouldn’t IU giving Ohio State another L kick them out with 2 losses. I get their losses are to two “top 5 teams” but I’m sorry 2 losses in conference in the big 10 should send you packing

Kirby is an elite college coach because he recruits at an elite level and can motivate his team to get up and play to their talent level really well. Xs and Os he’s not elite by any means but he doesnt have to be be 99% of the time. It really isn’t that hard to handstand.

Titles and is in the playoff hunt every year. Last night he out coached us plain and simple. We actually have a team who can match up with them for once. And we did, until they adjusted and out coached us. They had an elite gameplan to stop our pass rush and shut our offense down second half.

Zero quality wins.

A loss at UGA is better than a loss at home to a 3-6 team.

If BYU is ahead of Tennessee then I don’t know what to say.

So, we need to root for BYU over Az State and KS over CU next week, that way it assures only the Big12 winner gets in. I don't want a scenario where a two loss CU sits at home during Bg12 championship then gets an at large due to Deion factor.

Tennessee deserved to lose for how they played last night. However, no one can deny that the officiating crew was borderline criminal.

The SEC has the most inept and corrupt officials in any level of football.

Absolutely but at the end of the day the second quarter still happened. That’s what truly loss is the game. The defense folded and gave up a 10 point lead

Yeah sigh. You knew they’d give up one drive they shouldn’t have but us being tied at half time felt like a loss when it should have felt like a win.

During the National Championship season of 1951, the Vols had two of the best players in school history: Hank Lauricella and Doug Adkins. Adkins had one of his greatest games of his career (an interception and “numerous” tackles for loss) vs Ole Miss and Lauricella had a 24 yrd TD to enter the 1000 yrd club. Andy Kozar had 2TDs and Dick Ernsberger had a 53 yrd touchdown run in the 46-21 victory in Oxford

I woke up this morning still pissed. There’s no whitewashing this game. We should have and could have won, but our defense didn’t show up and our WRs, yet again, screwed the pooch. Meanwhile, Heupel still can’t win the big games on the road. And even though I feel we have the more impressive resume, I firmly believe the committee puts us just outside the top 12 and moves Ole Miss up to Top 10. So now our only hope rests in Billy Boy down in the Swamp.

The Georgia TE ate Tennessee's secondaries lunch last night. Oscar Delp had 6 receptions all season and ZERO TD's going into last night's game. Pathetic.
