Eh.. The big 12 and acc are 1 bid conf's... So it is what it is regardless of who wins those titles games. I think there's 2 thinks that have to happen... Ole miss and aTm must lose.

Any combination of IU, PSU outer Bama's losing (I don't think they get penalized if there l they lose three title game) would help

Did it though? Big dropped passes,a few poor passes, penalties... There were opportunities in the second and 3rd qtr when we had the ball that we shot ourselves in the foot and killed good drives....I don't think the play calling was the problem... We left a lot on the field imo.

Those drops, overthrows, off-target throws, and penalties certainly compounded the issue. But, the first drive and the rest of the game were called entirely different. It doesn't mean opportunities didn't exist.

Minnesota has a shot at home and coming off a bye. Maryland, not a chance.

They were both incomplete passes.

By rule taking two steps and securing the ball by their TE should have been considered a fumble after the hit. Nothing in the rulebook suggests otherwise, but im not going to argue with low football IQ ppl on it. We still got outplayed yesterday so it wasn’t the biggest reason

took last nights loss pretty hard.

I mean, uga is as vulnerable as they’ve ever been. They’re not that good. Top 3 backs missing. Top 3 receivers missing. Mash unit OL.

And they dominated us post first quarter.

It’s the kind of game that really makes me wonder if we’ll ever be elite again.

And I love me some Heupel, but I’m seriously doubting his system can win in the SEC.

He definitely need to add more wrinkles to it. Would be nice to have TEs run those skinny post routes down the seam. Ethan Davis would eat on those routes. He needs to mix it up more, our WRs are trash though.

Minnesota is a famously difficult place to play. At least within Big Ten circles. Kinda like South Carolina can be in the SEC. Sota fans take great pride in chances for upsets.

From the point it was 10-0, us.. UGA out scored us 31-7. We played as good as we have in sec play in the first qtr.

We got our butts kicked the rest of the game, and we made waaaaaay to many mistakes to get any momentum back, or keep it, when we opportunities to do so.

I don't think it's an indictment on heupel or the program or anything. But for that game, it just is what it is.

The play of the first quarter is apart of the game, and it made the game competitive. You can say Georgia did this or that but to say that game wasn’t competitive is pretty bold take. I’ve seen games that wasn’t “competitive “ and that wasn’t one of them.

The Vols brand is a dynamic passing attack. It's what recruits come here for. Every great high school QB dreams of it. It's what every team feared from us.

We're 10th in the SEC in avg yards per game passing and 10th in TD's passing. That's not good. As Ron Jaworski used to say.. "Points come from the passing game."

Absolutely! Finishing with 11 wins and beating Bama for the second time in 3 years shouldn't be taken for granted.

But we have to make some changes to take the next step and keep the momentum going.
