So do we start getting the videos of the opponents signals? Or wait for the coaching staff to set it up?Georgia Tennessee feels similar to Michigan Ohio State in the Harbaugh era
Tennessee keeps losing the game, and some fans want to blow up the program
We just got to keep coming back, year after year. This thing will turn. I have no doubt about that.
Just a few years ago I went into each season just hoping we could sweep uscjr, Kensucky and Mizzou.
Now weāre at worst going to have our second 10 win season in three years.
The road back to āthe topā isnāt a quick one. As good as weāve been, we still have holes on this roster and are relying on a very raw QB.
I took the loss the other night especially hard, and it still hurts, but perspective is needed.
Weāre gonna be okay.
If texas loses to A&M, hopefully that would do it.I honestly think if Texas loses to A&M, we should jump them. They have 0 ranked wins, and losses would be to A&M and UGA (at home). We would have a great ranked win over Bama. How do you put them in over us with 2 losses?
Interesting thing is, individuals on here yapping about Texas easy SEC schedule.I didn't realize how bad the teams we've played have become (except for Bama) I will say it's hard to play in the SEC. Oklahoma is beat up but Florida is getting better all the time. Need the teams we've played to get bowl eligible.
Then again, has our schedule really been easy? We played Bama and Georgia. The beginning of the year, our schedule looked pretty tough -- I think that is just the grind of SEC and cream rises to the top. We thought Mizzou had the pie schedule at the beginning, but look at them now. This is not an easy bunch of games for any of us.
No way are they that inept. I agree with your assessment of corruption. Especially when you add the replay booth changing or making the on the field calls.Tennessee deserved to lose for how they played last night. However, no one can deny that the officiating crew was borderline criminal.
The SEC has the most inept and corrupt officials in any level of football.

Also, donāt forget that Alabama I think travels to Oklahoma this weekend. I hope thatās a night game. Oklahoma is coming off of a bye week, so maybe they can get some of their injured guys healthy. You never know what happens on the road at night in the SEC.If texas loses to A&M, hopefully that would do it.
If they lose to A&M, then could they still play in the SECCG for their 3rd loss?
Of course, if uk could find it in their hearts to upset texas like they did ole missā¦
gators beat ole miss in the swamp is more realistic.
And if weāre talking about that, then why not ask auburn to derail the tide.
Georgia Tech rising up for another upset would be nice.
But if both happened then it would simplify things for Tennessee.
If the committee has to pass on 3 loss SEC teams then it is better for the Vols.
Wouldnāt you rather play indiana, boise state, byu, smu or even miami over uga, bama, ole miss or texas? As much as I would like to put one of our SEC rivals out of the playoffs, I would much rather them falter and not make it to the playoffs at all.

Heupelās the man still as far as Iām concerned. He brought us back to relevance, but itās a long, bumpy road to the top. No doubt heās the guy to do it.Three and a half years ago this program was dead in the water, cooked, buried 100 feet deep. Heup has done an amazing job getting this program turned around.
Weāre a top tier SEC team now, and top 10-15 football team in the country . Weāre just not at SECC or national title quality yetā¦.and thatās okay. But I think weāre close, and with the talent weāre bringing in the next couple classes we should be right there competing for titles.
We just got to keep grinding and stacking talent. Our breakthrough will come
We were held more than a newborn baby. The officiating was criminal. The fix was on. Herbstreit even said before the game, "get ready for some home cooking." Besides the holding, two fumbles taken away, a facemask call, obvious PI on Squirrel, PI called on McCoy, illegal substitution that never gets called, false start by Beck directly in front of white hat, chokehold on Lott once again five steps in front of white hat, non calls that get reviewed and called penalties, the list was endless and all at critical times. It was obvious that once we jumped out the officials jumped in, not even trying to hide it. It is getting to the 1918 baseball level, even the media gets it.They didn't play like it against Georgia. The key to beating Georgia is pressuring Beck. We didn't pressure Beck. Our front 4 couldn't overpower their banged-up OL, and Banks didn't make adjustments to bring blitzes. Instead, we let Beck sit in the pocket and dominate us. Could the offense have played better? Absolutely. Nico played well, IMO, but his WRs let him down a few times, and there were a few play calls that made me scratch my head. But the biggest reason we lost was the defense failed to get to Beck.
Simple, would it have been called incomplete if he fell right there instead of losing the ball? Heck no, it would have been a reception. It was a fumble and and even my dog could see that.Looked like he never even secured it to me. You have to take 2 steps after you secure it, not after you first touch it, and he never fully controlled it all in my opinion.
. If he would not have lost the ball and fallen down it would have been a completion. It was much more of a completion than the juggled catch out of bounds that Delp had in the first half. The officials on purpose took two turnovers away from Tennessee, plain and simple. Criminal. They are ruled incomplete 100% of the time
Not sure we could give up the blockers to do that. Defense can do what it wants when it pressures with 3 or 4 linemen. Our OL has been a liability for years. This is just my opinion, but I would have played with two tight ends if not 3 the entire game. They were open most every play. Beat uga at their own game. Send the 2-3 WRs deep every play. Either they give up a short to mid level pass to the TEs or RB or they leave a 1-1 coverage on the WR.
