Recruiting Football Talk VIII

It's always been that way though.
Too many other variables aren't equal for that to be the massive qualifier people want it to be.

"They remember what you do in November"
Another thing is let’s say the CFB polls look similar to AP. Bama makes SEC champ and loses, will they stay consistent and drop them out and below Tennessee? Or keep them above? I think that will show how consistent they actually are and if there is a real strong bias

I answered this in my other post, but I don't think they should.

I kind of agree. I think Boise St could beat some of the teams that get in Colorado/byu, Miami/smu, Penn state. They played good vs Oregon. But I do agree Bama/OM/UT deserve a spot
We really just need to hope Indiana gets dropped after they get beaten down this weekend.
I don't think them or PSU are deserving.

Yeah, we were gonna lose no matter what Saturday. Feels like the SEC is trying to stick it to the committee

This is how I look at it, right or wrong.
Tennessee got rewarded for their H2H win over Bama by being ranked above in the initial rankings.
However after that the situations are independent of each other. TN lost, other teams won. TN could hold steady at their spot, but let's say TN drops to 9, and Bama is currently 7( this isn't accurate just an example.) What did Bama do to drop to let's say 12. Are you going to retroactively punish a team by saying Team A isn't as good as we thought they were, and team B lost to them, so therefore Team B loses their spot? That doesn't make much sense.

To osu’s credit, they played oregon and psu. They will have played 4/5 top teams (excluding themselves: oreg, psu, indy, ill) in the big 10 this year. Oregon & psu have only played osu and Illinois.

Me personally, if osu loses, i think they will still get in the playoff on brand recognition alone. So im hoping for osu to beat indy by 10+ so they can be eliminated.
I think Indiana would need to lose by 30, not 10, to be eliminated.

Idk, that schedule is horrible and they took Louisville off their nonconference palate. You couple that with a loss (possible multiple possessions) from the only respectable team on their schedule. They arent a big brand, I think they would be on the outside looking in
