Started laying mulch again…4 hours later, done.

Funny story I recently told my kids. Growing up in the 90's we did have enough money to buy nice shoes. So, once per year I got a new pair, usually right before school started. Momma or Mawmaw always made me get the cheapest pair Wal*Mart had, and that happened to be Sketchers. They were not cool. I got made fun of a lot, but it didn't bother me. I already knew life was more than money, and Iiked to joke around. It's funny to me that they are somehow cool now, but in the 90's they weren't. Weird how fashion trends go

Great stories….I played baseball at Winona. Great times!!

Played one football game across the fence in Evans Collins stadium as a 5th grader. It was the culmination of a season of training with G.R. Lebo (I think it was). Kids from all over town converged on fields behind Sequoyah Elementary school.

Chip Howard was my QB, before he transferred from Bearden to Webb and dropped back a year. Repeated a year after probably having straight A’s. An injury ended my career only slightly before my lack of speed and athleticism did. I entered my Sr year at 5’7” and maxed out at 6’3” during my SO yr in college. Never did hit that handsome phase! Still hoping.

I still member the time my mom said things were tight and we didn't have the money to get branded shoes and how mortified I was. Kids were rough back then, but it only makes you better going through some hardships.

Sure in other areas, but once men see women calling games they gatekeep and gatekeep hard. As if sports are only for and by men.

Just see men coaching womens sports. But dear god if a woman ever coaches a men's team...all hell will shower down from every corner from fragile bros.
