Recruiting Football Talk VIII

They literally left Georgia out last year. They were punished just last year for playing the conference title game.

That being said I think they would stay in this year as the bottom seed. A&M would be out at 4 losses though.
Big difference between a 4 team playoff and 12. Georgia was still the second ranked SEC team and number 5 overall. I would expect similar results this year and let’s face it if Tennessee was in the SEC championship game and got beat we would lose our minds if we dropped below teams sitting on the couch resting as we should. Actually the committee has been reasonably fair to us so far this year.

Happy Wednesday. Special prayers for anyone dealing with loss at the holidays. I know it can be very difficult when favorite loved ones aren't there at times you most remember them.

November 27, 2024: You are entering a season of new beginnings. Things may not be according to what you have imagined, but it will be a time of spiritual growth and development like none other. It will be as though you are looking through a different lens where your life will take on new meaning, and you will never be the same again. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

The chairman just said Indiana played well, that's code for get over it their going to be in CFP playoffs.

Lmao...and we were told we were never in the game against Georgia in 2022 despite missing an open long ball in the 2nd half that would have made it a 1 score game. Indiana gets outscored 31-7 in the first 58 minutes of the game yet they played well. Sure, Jan.

That’s why it’s legal in Cali.
I’ve been to LA once. In the same day I experienced traffic that flowed at a steady 40 mph, and also was stuck in bumper to bumper for 3.5 hours trying to get back from Santa Monica (17 miles, google maps says it’s a 21 minute drive lol).

Well I will just be a little biatch, I can't drink my coffee without cream and sugar. The flavored creamers.😏

I feel that. I drank black coffee daily for a few years. Took a few sips one morning and realized my fragile sense of masculinity was resting on drinking a beverage that I can't even pretend tastes good unlike some other liars. Now I pour whatever the hell I want in it bc I am a grown man that can give coffee snobs a swirly. Mostly whatever sugar-free creamer is on sale when I'm at the grocery store.

I’m worried that the committee will just view the SECCG has a playoff game. That’s how I viewed it for UGA last year.

From a matchup standpoint, the SECCG will be as hard as a final four playoff game every year. It will be a problem for the SEC if it turns into an elimination game.

Only thing that I think is a bit dumb...I completely get the top 12... but the thing that's a bit confusing to me is the committee has stated from the beginning "only the conference champion is guaranteed in"

Yet Ohio State, SMU, and Georgia are all being projected to lose their title game and still get in... and even with a 2nd loss Ohio State would be a 5 seed? and a 3 loss Georgia will be the 8?

We need more chaos outside of us this weekend!

Michigan beats Ohio State
USC beats Notre Dame
Maryland upsets Penn State
Syracuse beats Miami
