Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Well he said our offense has been dominant and well...that's just not true.

I would agree that it's not as bad as we think because we got used to that good stuff

It's normal pretty good, not Josh Heupel good

YET
I'm not going to argue with that.

(Incoming thought is really nothing to do with your post, just relative to "why" the offense is so..frustrating)

The plays are always there...always...in every game there are guys running wide open all over the field...nobody has "figured out" Heupels offense. They do what they do to aggravate and impede...and then simply hope like hell our guys screw it up somehow, which they unhappily oblige over and over and over again in several different ways...a missed throw...a dropped pass...a stupid penalty..and missed read...etc etc etc..

If we ever execute the offense at a high level for a whole game...we will blow whoever it is we are playing off of the field.

No we are not dominant..but we could be at any time...which is extremely frustrating.

Also exciting. It's still possible that we peak at the right time.
I also like if we get through Vandy we have 3 more weeks of practice. Nico has continued to grow since he's been here, so no reason to think he'd get even better between Vandy and a playoff game.

Also, Thornton, Squirrel and Bru will be much healthier. More time for Mike Matthews to develop.

Praying we get the ball first and score a TD.

We may have floundered against UGA, but I think a good start against vandy IN THE DAYTIME will seal it.

Not enough has been made about the fact that we are finally not playing on the road at night. A good start tomorrow could do the trick.

Hit the early open ones and watch us March up and down the field 2022 style all game long.

@butchna

Bears fire HC Eberfluss. Who do you prefer to replace him?
See how the team responds to Thomas Brown and conduct a thorough search and evaluation. Easy answer is Ben Johnson, but I want a better process than previously. Ted Phillips and Bill Polian essentially hired Flus.

They will not win as many NC's, if any, but is Colorado quickly becoming The "U" of the 1980's?
The "Great" team that everyone loves to hate?

Gaining "bandwagon" fans.
Opposing teams fans hate the "street swag" they play with and the HC.

sounds familiar.
