Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Funny how they didn’t suck much at all the entire game until last half of 4th quarter. Full conspiracy theory…did SEC and ACC make a deal that if Georgia needed help then they get it, and if Clemson needs help against SC with SEC crew, then they get it? Clemson has to win to stay in the mix for a spot.
I like the way you're thinking

How we handling the Portal threads this year?

Iirc we had portal threads in the NCAA forum in the past.

We’ve also had the threads in here, maybe once we offered them. 🤷‍♂️

I think we even had one giant portal thread where all kids were listed.

What’s the strategy this year?

Just trying to avoid a thread being made or bumped for every kid who enters.

Mods? @Freak … everyone, what’s the plan Stan?

final comment on georgia game. yes i'm disappointed they won. but the fact the sec commissioner had to make a public statement about officiating, combined with the prevailing theories about sec upper crust favoritism gives this legs to run. how can you watch that game and not think officials were plicit?

17-0 at half. then the flags come out. three crucial ticky tack calls to extend drives. and it happens all the time. this is no longer conjecture, it is likely happening. evidence is no longer circumstantial.

Don’t forget the billion holds that Georgia’s OL committed that went uncalled. There were a boat load of them in the second half. Several very obvious ones.

I will never understand how they got so much pressure, and why their game plan was that much better? Constant motion, moving guys around. Scheming. Read option was there alp game.

I will say that officiating in our game vs Georgia was dog ****.

I’m still waiting for us to run the read option with Nico frequently. If we would, we would it really open this offense up. I think we feel like we can’t, because every time he keeps outside the tackles, we get called for holding.

Holding is what completely kills our offense. Every single time Nico has made a WOW play by scrambling or rolling away from pressure and making a huge throw…HOLDING. I’m not sure if our OT’s do something completely different than other teams and our OT’s are worse than bottom tier ACC teams or we just get completely screwed. I honestly don’t understand.
