This is why I pay zero attention to any of these opinions or projections and don’t get upset when I see them from someone’s post. They’re all different, they’re no better than our guesses, and they’re as meaningless as our’s.Just read the Athletic projections for CFP playoff and they’re saying SMU gets in, even if they lose next weekend to Clemson. I just don’t see that. Someone enlighten me, because that makes 0 sense when you compare their resume to other teams.
Lane is correct. This playoff embodies cfb. Theres no rules or parameters on recruiting, uniform officiating, unbalanced in-conference scheduling, and a corrupt playoff process.
The bigger issue is the media pushing the agenda of uscE being in front of them and bama. It would be criminal if uscE is above either one come Tuesday. If so, what the point in any of this, its just wwe/wcw.Lane’s “margin of victory” stuff is silly, honestly. Lane trying to say Ole Miss should get into the playoff because they rubbed some FCS cupcake’s nose in it worse than Bama did is just silliness.
I was reading quickly, must have missed it — what did he say about Kentucky?
Every yr like clockwork the media will try to sell you on the UK darkhorse thing. Guy cant beat anybody in the conf that has a conf winning record but somehow the media cant get enoughTheir season just matched the worst one in Tennessee history… Butch’s 4-8 disaster in 2017. Amazing. And still I think Kentucky will be called a “dark horse” to make the playoff next fall among the talking heads.
I wish they’d do 2 things to lend credibility to the process…The committee sure has made it evident that they do not give a RATS ASS about head to head
It is ALL about eye test and recency bias. It's almost like they go out of their way to not anyone credit for actually beating someone.
I think that has to change. A seasons full body of work has to count for something. That includes the crap losses.
