I’d rather get Indiana if we can, but I guess I wouldn’t mind either.

OSU, ND, ASU and Indiana have the bottom 4 offenses when it comes to total yards. I like looking at this because we’re 2-2 against offenses in the top 100 in total yards. (FL, Bama, UGA, Arkansas)

Indiana is actually in the upper half, but they haven’t played anybody. So yeah give me OSU or Indiana lol

It seems consensus that the Vols will host a CFP game. Everyone thinks it, from pole voters, journalists, sports talk shows and football fans in general. At this point, it will be a surprise to everyone if we don't host and will be a scam by the committee to reward another program based off their name and nothing else.

Ohio State @ Neyland in a playoff game may be the biggest game to hit Knoxville in generations.

You better brace yourself for the committee to keep OSU ahead of us and having to go on the road to the stupid horseshoe. Also prepare for them to put Alabama in as well. The bias is real. Hopefully BVS but I will have to see them rank us above tOSU to believe it.

Here's how I'd project the rankings and matchups

1 seed = Oregon, assuming they thump Penn State
2 seed = Texas, beat Georgia in the rematch
3 seed = SMU, assuming they beat Clemson
4 seed = Boise State

5 Notre Dame vs 12 Bama
6 Tennessee vs 11 Indiana
7 Ohio State vs 10 Arizona State or Iowa State
8 Georgia vs 9 Penn State

I don't think Georgia or Penn State will drop outside top 12 with a loss, and I think ACC/Big 12/Boise State will all be higher seeded than Indiana

I could also see them flipping us with Ohio State, but think we'll remain top 8 seed once dust settles. I just don't think they'll put a 2 loss Penn State or 3 loss Georgia ahead of us.

I really think the only 2 losses that could push us out of hosting would be Oregon and Texas...if both of them lose then doubt either drops behind us and Penn State/Georgia both would stay ahead of us, but then you also put the at large Group of 5 and ACC or Big 12 champ ahead of us.

Or defense took a step up. The same drop in scoring has been happening in the NFL. I think defensive coaches are finally catching up to the spread offenses.
